Iavaroni comes from a system with all offense and no defense practically. We don't need anymore of that

When Van Gundy was pretty much pushed out of the Heat organization and Pat Riley took over the coaching duties is when the Heat started playing better. Don't like the looks of that.

Note that Iavaroni's previous stop was as one of Riley's students -- the combo of the two I think is why he's such a hot commodity.

As for SVG -- sure. But coming off a year in the ECF. And the man who replaced him and got more out those vets was a pretty good coach.

Two years of assistant coaching under Mike Montgomery. That's not really a resume I'm very excited about.

Also one year as an assistant in Houston. Just the same, he doesn't meet the "experienced NBA head coach" criterium that I gather Petrie wants from applicants.

Watching the Kings has been frustrating, to say the least. I often found it was much more exciting to watch Slamson the mascot. He did a great job with much more enthusiasm and excitement than many of the Kings. Give Slamson a raise and extend his contract.
