Not sure how everyone will be used from the get go, something tells me Sammy D will start at the 5 for Westphal...it's gonna be interesting to see what lineup Westphal ultimately uses, Sammy at the 5 and DMC at the 4??
I'd be okay with that, whatever works...if Sammy doesn't work out at the 4 then JT??
I believe that Sammy needs to get a little more minutes than DMC.
Sammy is 29 and experienced, while DMC needs to develop and grow and this doesn't happen overnight. DMC will get his minutes, don't worry. Sammy can't play 48 minutes a game.
Whiteside- Honestly I don't know, but this shouldn't be a problem fitting him in.
About the PF: In two words Jason Thompson- he does his work quietly and Carl backing him up is great. Don't trade him.
Things could change, but I’m told the Kings’ logical frontline plan is to start Dalembert and Landry with Cousins, JT coming off the bench.

What plan?So, what's the plan?
1st post on this account (old one was Hawesome) so hello again =P On to my comment:
I know it's kind of rude to bring Dalembert in here with the intention of letting him start, then sending him to the bench for the first 8 minutes; but, with the addition of Cousins this MUST happen. Why in the world would we start a guy who might be better in the short term? I don't understand the idea of giving DMC time to develop by not letting him start, maybe someone can clarify this to me?
Also... If Cousins starts there is a better chance of him getting the ROY award. How awesome would that be? We had faith in Tyreke, we threw him into the jungle and he turned into Tarzan. We should do the same for DMC.
Beno, Tyreke, and Cousins should start.
Seems to be the most logical way to go.
Landry is a way too good a scorer not to start for us. He was starting to build some good chemistry with Reke last year. Dalembert is a great fit next to Landry as he covers up Carl's weaknesses and doesn't need the ball to be effective. They really complement each other well with their strengths and weaknesses.
JT is a good energy guy to come off the bench and Cousins is someone that needs to be managed over the 82 games. He played something like 23mpg on a college schedule, I am not sure he can handle the rigours of a long NBA season if you are starting him and playing him for 30 odd minutes.
For now, the Dalembert-Landry starting front court makes a lot of sense and both players complement each other very well, on paper![]()
Am I the only one who likes a Dalembert/Landry pairing coming off the bench? I want to see Cousins and JT start, and have Landry slide back to his 6th man role. Have Dalembert spill Cousins for however many minutes are needed, my guess 20-25 mins per game.
I really do want JT to get another shot at starting, this time next to a real center. If he gets the mental aspect of the game down, he has more to offer than Landry. But again, I guess we have all summer to discuss this. I expect Westphal to say all the right things publicly, but when the season opener comes, I fully expect Cousins in the starting lineup, and I expect him to be our 2nd best player at that point. Just like Tyreke last year, after a full training camp, I don't see how the staff will keep Cousins on the bench. He's just far too talented. That isn't a knock on Dalembert, I couldn't be happier we got him. But I see Cousins seperating himself from Dalembert during training camp.

This is THE GRAND PLAN after all the waiting and I couldn't agree more.My plan is to fill the cooler with cervesa. Have a kilo of Camaron prepared for a shrimp coctail. Maybe some salsa and chips. Then kick back in the recliner and enjoy the game.. As Nero said right before he accidently knocked over a torch. " Let the games begin"![]()
