He played well defensively UNDER INTERNATIONAL RULES. I think everybody agrees that main problem of Mike is slashers. Well, in world champ qualifiers he played against much slower guys, with 3-pt line 4 feet closer to the basket so it is much easier to crowd paint and receive help defense and there also were a couple of blockers behind his back.LPKingsFan said:

SAS and Pistons both have perimeter and inside guys from All-Defensive Team. Petrie gave Rick one perimeter guy and what happens? Team improves from 46,1 opp.FG% to 44,3 opp.FG%. Bring bigman from All-Defnsive Team and this team will easily go under 43 opp.FG%.
