Well, with 11 to go - Kings still in the 5th place which btw nobody seams to be interested in. It seams like every team is trying to avoid the 6 spot. It would not surprise me a bit if there would be a 3 way tie for the 5th or even a 4 way tie for 5-8. It will be very close. Wolves are nott done yet either - even if only a long shot. Lakers are not done yet either. They will be after the land behind Clippers ;)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anything but "just another game" tomorow - for obvious reasons. ARCO will see Webber in another uniform. It will be emotional and I expect Webber to be given a welcome that he deserves. After that I expect ARCO to get behing Kings and help them to get a "W" which is much needed by the way. n the other hand - there are 3 other guys that will try to prove something too. It will be interesting and that game desewrves to be taped and archived.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was at the party on Saturday night. I taped the game. Sunday around 4 am I decided to watch the tape (well under influence). Unfortunately I was not drunk enough - not to recognize V. Palmer before the tip off. Suddendly, I did not like our odds anymore. I do not mean to offend women around here but She is the most incompetent referee I have ever seen and if she were a man  - I am sure she would not get to call NBA games (Again - really do not mean to offend anyone - just stating my opinion on this specific case). Luckly, I do not remember much of the game ;) . I remember being pissed at her in the first quarter allready. I also remember Kings playing well in the second. I seam also to remember that Najera killed us in the second half. I was hoping for a nightmare - but upon rewieving the box score
At least we won the season series. Might be useful later on
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, we need this one. Sixers need it too but that is not our problem. Kings need to "stay away" from emotions tonight. We need to focus on the game and let CW deal with emotions. Sixers beat Lakers who turned it over 30 times. If Sixers play similar game tonight - I really like our odds. Will be interesting to see how RA will use the fact that it is a back to back for CW. We need to make sure to have Korver in transition and to try to limit AI2 above the rim.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - tired or not - in the shooting slump as of late (last 6 games or so) With 70+ games in the legs - most NBA players are tired and while that fact explains things - it does not excuse them. Mike is taking mostly good shots but they are gettin shorter with every game. I am not sure who he is supposed to guard tomorow - do not feel like thinking about it either.
Pedja - averages 24 pts per game over the last 6 games. At least some consistancy. Nothing has changed here. We need more and more often
Mobley - Will be guarding AI. He will try anyways. Needs to show up in the first half more often.
Thomas - has to prove a thing or two tonight. Shooting a lot lately.
Skinner - very limited due to injury. I expect him to own the boards tomorow.
Darius - needs to be Darius
Evans - will deal with Iverson at some poinst. He needs to be in control more ofthe than he is at the moment.
Corliss - limited PT = very limited production
House - it would not kill us if he would get to spare Mike for 5 additional minutes per game
Tag - did not thing - he would play last game. not sure what to think for tonight either
Martin - probably not
Daniels - definitely not
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - Will see how much he will be able to use CW's weaknesses. Also I hope that he will avoid any "wierd lineups"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sixers - CW will be extremly motivated but probably physically limited. iverson will shoot 15+ FTs. Igoudala will dunk at some point. Korver will hit threes. When all is said and done - Kings will prevail
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Suns !!!! (Nuggets)
Go Pistons !!!!!! ( Mavs)
Go Bulls !!! (Memphis)
Go Jazz !!! (Houston)

should be an interesting game. sixers have not really proved themselves this season but we should not underestimate them. i was actually considering flying over to watch this game as it was in my easter holidays

I have to work AS USUAL!!! so I want all the details from you guys. I'll be checking out sportscenter when I get in but they'll probly barely mention it, AS USUAL. I hope Chris has great game but we still win. Maybe AI will get hurt, after all it is in Sac.
GO KINGS !!! They're all must wins from now on although I would rather play Seattle than Dallas. I put my Kings earrings and necklace back on, didn't have them on Sat. and that was a disaster. We haven't lost when I've been wearing them and I am superstitous so they will saty on now till June. Good luck tonite, Bibby play your *** off

I was lucky enough to score tickets this weekend, so ill be there cheering our boys on. Webbers back on the Sacramento stage but im wondering what kind of a factor he will be on the second night of a back to back. These are the games he usually sat out for us this year. I doubt he will play more than 25 minutes.

Ill predict his line tonight to be

12 pts, 6 reb, 3 asst in 22 minutes > or pretty much a non-factor

we'll have to see. he played a lot of minutes last night, so there's no way he'll be 100%. But, he didn't shoot well and he's going to have an adrenaline high from all the emotions, so we will have to see what he brings. I'll be at the game tonight & I'll be rooting for a Kings win, but I'm also going to scream as loud as I can to thank Webb for what he brought to this team.

Well, Celt, as you know, the people who sit in front of me INVARIABLY leave with 2 minutes to go

Nothing wrong with leaving early if the game is over.....I usually do if the game is in hand.....or lost.

I'll be there in 216 with my Webb jersey(I will then retire it).

Tough game for me to pick. I think the Kings should use Corliss early and often against Korver. From paying close attention to the Sixers the past 15 or so games since the trade, Korver shoots a lot, he shoots a lot of threes, and he hasn't really been making a very good percentage. Corliss at the SF can abuse him in the low block b/c O'Brien loves to have Korver on the floor. I'm not saying sit Peja or anything, but if Corliss can get 7 to 10 minutes of floor time matched up against Korver, RA is crazy to let an opportunity like that pass him by.

As for the Sixers, CWebb and AI shot terribly last game, even considering that both shoot a ton to get their points. I'm not counting on AI having another terrible night, I'm not counting on CWebb having another horrid night from the floor. This time around, the motivation is on his side. Those other three guys proved something in the first meeting back in their old stomping grounds. Time for CWebb to show Arco what they are missing. Could be good or bad for the Sixers --- regardless of whether he is hitting his shots, I expect CWebb to take no less than 20 tonight. If he makes 10 of them, I think the Sixers have a good chance to win.

And, Sixers need this game more than the Kings --- they are holding onto the 8th spot, not the 5th, they have won 4 out of their last 5, even winning a couple ugly (like last night against the Lakers). I'd say Dalembert could give the Kings trouble on the defensive end, but O'Brien plays him inconsistently, and he's prone to foul trouble, so it's tough to say for certain whether he will be a factor. Iguodala has been playing quite well as of late, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Wonder if he'll have a letdown after getting amped to go against Kobe?

Just some random thoughts from a torn fan. I'll be pulling for CWebb first and foremost. I wish no ill will on the Kings for trading him --- it was the right move for the team in the long run (and may have been in the short run were it not for the Miller injury) --- but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't enjoy watching CWebb gather 25 and 12 (since a triple double for a PF in the Sixers' system is darn near impossible) tonight in Arco in a Sixers' win.

Well, I do respect honesty.

BTW You will be disappointed tonight because kings will win the game (unless V.P. is one of the 3 blind people)

Ah yes, but they leave no matter what. Tie game, up 2, down 1, doesn't matter. Got to beat that traffic;)
It was just an invitation for Celt to stop by and say Hi anyway.
I, too, will be sporting a Webb jersey for the final time.

If I were a betting man...well...eh, that's why I'm not a betting man.

Were it not for the injuries the Kings are suffering, I'd be more inclined to agree with your point of view. Throw in Bibby's relative shooting slump as of late, and I think the Sixers have a fair shot (would be much more of an even shot if it weren't on the back end of a back-to-back --- and, no, I'm not complaining about the scheduling).

Kings should still win this game. They've done the better job of integrating their newly acquired players, imho (injuries probably have helped speed the process).

I'm OK with CWebb's 25/12/5 but I would be happy with iversons 2 of 31 and kings win...."Sixers need this game more than kings".....I don't care....protect the home court and beat them by 20

For those of us not fortunate enough to see the game tonight, live or on TV, let us know all the pregame stuff with regards to Webb. I hope he gets a LONG standing O from the crowd and players. No matter your feelings about him, he DESERVES it!

man i wish i could watch this game at least. ideally i'd want to go, but school and no tickets :( i will be trying my best to find radio online, or if i have to, the crappy reception i get in my room of KHTK.

GO KINGS!!!!!!!!

and give webber the 10 min ovation he deserves! someone film it and put it online ;)

Yea I agree...they have won 5 of their last 6 games and the loss was without webber...they also manhandled both Cleveland and Detroit so they are starting to be a little dangerous

Tonight game is at about 5 am here, but I just can't miss this game.I can't wait start of the game and I hope that Peja and C-Webb will guard each other :D
I also hope that we will tonight see fiendly conversation of Peja and Webber ;)
GO KINGS!

To the fans here who's going to tonight's game: Have fun at the game and give Webb a big standing O!

Like already said in this thread, Webb will be trying hard so I won't be surprise if he shoots well or play more aggresive.

Bibby vs AI...Hmm, don't know what to say. Someone will need to help Bibby. LOL.

I think the game will be more emotional to Webb than the Kings. Of course, Arco fans may get emotional, but they ain't playing. ;) I see Thomas and Skinner playing well tonight. I hope the Kings come with lots of effort because I think 76ers might be since it's Webb's former team. Need to get this WIN!

Score + Rebound + Play D + limit TOs + EFFORT = WIN!!!!

GO KINGS!!!

I'm with you. I love Webb, and I want him to have an all star game every game, and particularly tonight. But, got to root for the Kings win, no matter what.

If you check the PBP thread, you'll see that I made some very direct comments about Violet Palmer. She is an embarrassment for a variety of reasons, including the fact she most likely got a job she cannot do well because she is a minority female and, as such, they pretty much are keeping her around as their token, which I think every black female should find offensive. At least twice she made calls that were overturned by other officials and there were at least a couple more that were questionable.

Her old target was always Webber, although I do recall one specific instance where I believe she called an offensive foul on Vlade. Unfortunately for her, Vlade was on the bench at the time...

So, don't worry about offending anyone around here with your comments about Violet Palmer.

;)
