should we sign jay williams for a precautionary measure since Bibby will be out 3 weeks? He does have talent and you can never have enough PG's.....cut Hart Please...

Man since the nets dropped him, I actually would. As long as his contract isnt that high. I mean the nets barely played him, but just to be safe, I would sign him to backup Bibby...

No. Price, Douby and Salmons can handle it. Williams is done.

And Garcia, and Artest, and ....

We can play 2 2's if someone can handle the rock, heck, we can maybe go a little big and post up our guards!

Lots of guys to bring it up short-term.

Dump Hart. Just say no to Williams.

I'd like to see Salmons start while Bibby is out, that way we'd have some good size with him and Kmart being the guards. You could also just start Price and have Salmons backup the 2 guards spots as well. It sucks not being able to start the season with Bibby, but we should have the depth to be o.k. for the short term until he comes back.

I just hope that now that Bibby is out for 3 weeks, we don't keep Hart around, that little weezle would love that, just to get him under the Oct 30th 15 man roster fence, then we have would probably have to cut Amundson. I think anyone here would be o.k. with waiving Hart if we cannot trade him before 10/30, 1.6M down the drain is not great, but the youngins are good and cheap. ;)

Also with the Bee article I really think the Kings are going to over the cap just a little to hold onto these young guys and eat Hart's contract, Potato would be the obvious choice to waive but he is due to make $3.6M so we might just keep him to mid season and then hopefully dump the bag of potatoes!!! ;)

Jay Williams is a guy that teams have looked at, and everyone has declined. This is not some great takent falling into our laps at this point, its a guy who had one disappointing rookie season, and then got reckless and destroyed his career with a terrible accident and the resulting injuries. He may still be able to hobble his way onto some team's roster, but he's not stepping in mid-training camp for anyone as their savior.

Jay Williams? We don't need him. There are plenty of guys to bring the ball up the court and run the offense. I heard that Muss is looking to start John Salmons at PG with Ronnie Price as his back-up. I think he was quoted on Grant and Mike's show this afternoon.

And Bricklayer wins the thread...
