Head to head looks very comparable. Keep in mind Darius only averages 6 minutes less of playing time.

One is a 7'1" post player and shotblocker, the other a 6'8" jumpshooting forward. Very little comparison, and intentionally making your team small and weak only flies in Sacto I'm afraid.

They'd be more likely to offer up Michael Ruffin. Which I would likely pass on.

This is probably the least sense making trade ever.... What would we do with blake? Why trade big for small? I agree with others that he might just be part of another trade, but what if the other trade doesn't pan out? Were screwed......

Oh and by the way, make that 6 unhappy kings fans.

How did this Marbury idea come about? There is a reason this player has been on 4 different teams, and those teams haven't been even destined for more than a first round exit if even that.

Come on according to him hes the best point gaurd in the league. I'd love to have the best point gaurd in the league.....kidding ofcourse

The Marbury Idea was just me trying to figure out why we would want another PG unless one was going to be moved. I figure there is a good chance one of our big three will be moved, and if we bring in another PG, Bibby may be the one. So then I thought, which team has an allstar player that has a good chance of getting moved. Marbury came to mind because Larry Brown doesn't get along with him, yet he raves about Bibby, so I was just trying to figure what may happen. Myself, I hope it doesn't happen. Bibby is awesome!

I wouldn't mind having Blake. What's so hard to understand about needing a 3rd point guard? We've used (or needed) a 3rd string pg who can play a little bit for each of the last 3 seasons.

Darius is a good player, but I don't see how he fits in if Petrie is doing something to remake the frontcourt. I think he and his agent understand this as well. He has to put himself in the best situation possible and the Kings have to try to keep him from leaving for nothing.

Peter Ramos? 7'3"
Jared Jeffries? 6'10"

The can move Jeffries to the C and put Darius as backup PF.

lol, any team that depends on Peter John Ramos is going to be in the cellar. Your typical guy that was drafted based solely on his height and now is trying to learn the game.

yeah- i would be another upset kings fan if they traded bibby for Marbury. Plus i heard that Bibby has a "kicker" in his contract that he can invoke if he was traded- so that would definately make trading him unlikely-

I am not very sure about the effect of the kicker , but that doesn't seem to be a very big problem to the team headed by I.Thomas.Money has never been an issue for them anyway.

I wouldn't mind having a 3rd point guard if I felt like our front court was in good shape. I want to see what happens in that respect before I start rejoicing about three point guards.

I know Evenstar might be a fan of Blake (after the game at the KF get together, Blake went off for his season high 17 off the bench).

No, and if it happens, fine. Just seems odd because Blake is a player with a little stature. VERY little. But a little. Normally I would expect a 3rd PG to be a rookie or Eddie House type. As it is, we'd probably be giving up the better player while getting back a guy at a position whihc isn't really a need right now.

One good thing -- Blake is another pesky defeder. So if we did do it, we'd have two pretty good defensive players behind Mike. The more the merrier for that trait (defense).

hes good and ill give him his due... but hes a cancer.... the dude cant get along with anyone......

At this point trading a Forward for a gaurd is pointless UNLESS it is part of a series of trades that ENDS with a better big man landing in Sac. So Darius for Blake is pointless and damaging UNLESS there is another trade in the works sending one of our gaurds out in a deal that brings back a real starting PF.

I know that Seattle has shown some interest in Blake so it's possible that a deal involving Wash, Sac and Seattle could be in the mix...perhaps with Sac getting Evans back. Who knows?

that'd be quite cool, DW. :)

Seattle needs a back-up PG, and also have made it known they want Songaila, as have the Wizards.
