Shocked.... We just threw the season away....

I'm in disbelief..... That was the best we could get.... amazing......... I don't believe it.......... somebody say this isn't real......

i respectfully disagree. I don't think we've thrown anything away (or at least anything that wasn't kind of in the garbage before).

The season was "kind of in the garbage"... This trade just gave it a full shove to the bottom of the trash bag...

Not so. We at least improve in our areas of deficiency.

agreed. these guys are hustlers, and thomas is still young. i think it will work out just fine.

The Kings did not throw just season away. To do that they would have had to trade for contracts taht expeir this season so they could rebuild. None of the stiffs contracts expire this seaon. So in essence Petrie probalby threw away next season and probalby the 2 that follow away as well.

These guys are undertalented mediocre players wiht long contracts. Furthermore they are mismatched pieces, undersized, no verticality, crap rebounders this year, no passing, only Skinner can block a shot. They help not at all. Given what we got I sincerely doubt we even cared -- not as if the Sixers had any WORSE contracts to throw our way, so we just took whatever made the numbers match.

I think a common misperception is that people think that improving in our areas of deficiency is the answer to everything. Let's say we have 2 dimes, but we desperately need 4 pennies. So, we trade 2 dimes for four shiny, new pennies. On the surface, we have what we need. But in reality, we just got conned out of 16 cents... catch my drift?

We improve in rebounding, we regress in SO many other areas... scoring, passing, chemistry, to name a few.

Well if that dime can out rebound the penny...no wait...if the quarter can block the...wait...if the shiny dime...no thats not it...ah screw it too much math involved.

And maybe RA will shock both of us and actualy play him.

Unfortunately I wouldn't count on it, if you haven't heard, "He doesn't match up well". And as you know, if you don't perfectly match up you will lose every time.

What a crock of Shi'ite

Wow

i live on the east coast and my g/f called me at 7am to tell me about the trade. WOW i am still in shock, i just dont know what to make of it all. He was my boy, our boy with his arrival it took sac. to the next level. I dont know what to make of all this i am still in shock

i don't think the season is thrown away.

we do still have all star snubs mike bibby, brad miller, not to mention peja and cuttino. that is still a very talented group of players, not to mention daruis, mo, etc.

it is going to hurt not having #4, no doubt about it. the kings will just have to adjust. and hopefully our defense will improve

Im in the "lets talk after the trade deadline has passed" group. All I can say is, if thats all the trades we do, then lets see what they can contribute. They are all bench players to me. All of a sudden we have 4 starters and a huge bench. Oh well, at least we got a good Peja backup in Corliss :\
