Bah! I wondered that two days ago, and was ignored... What's a brother gotta do to get his props around here?
EDIT - Well, it felt like two days ago, anyway...
Los Angeles Lakers Coach Phil Jackson remembers a similar experience from his playing days with the New Jersey Nets (against the Philadelphia 76ers) in which Bernard King was thrown out incorrectly after one technical foul.
The game was replayed from that point but after a trade was made between the two clubs sending Eric Money to the Sixers and Harvey Catchings and Ralph Simpson to the Nets.
"[It was the] '78-'79 season. In '78 it happened. In '79 we replayed it," said Jackson. "We lost. The first time I think we did lose. The second time we didn't push it to overtime."
In a bizarre turn of events, the three traded players logged minutes for both teams in the same game! Money would score 27 total points; 23 for the Nets and four for the Sixers.
