science help!!!

I need help on how my air transportation project..We need to transport something through the air without pushing it or kicking it...I cant think of anything...it could be something simple, doesnt have to be fancy..I was thinking of blowing up a balloon and then lettin the air out of it but i dunno if I wanna do that..our professor said that we cant use paper airplanes..if anybody can help me out I would really appreciate it cuz I am really stuck

This might seem snarky and smart-alecky...but did your professor tell you it had to be "free flying"? In other words, could you just suspend something with wires and have it move from one side of the room to the other like ski lift? ;)

How about fitting a solar sail to a helium filled ballon with a counter weight to keep it at a certain height? Does it have to be able to move at night, or in the shade?

yes im sure i can do that...that sounds like a good idea but i dunno what to use...i might have somewhat of an idea tho

There is the age old favorite of making a water rocket... all you need is a plastic soda bottle and a bicycle pump... messy but effective.

ideas

you could buy a water powered rocket for 3-4 dollars. this would fly by using air pressure to push the water out the bottom of the rocket for propulsion.

you could tie/tape/glue a helium balloon to a balsawood airplane with a rubberband powered propeller, and let the propeller move the combo through the air.

you could string a line of string across the room, after running the line through the tube of a pen body, tie a balloon to the pen, and let the balloon go, letting the air go out the valve of the balloon, the air going out the balloon may move the pen down the string.

just some ideas.
