San Antonio has to be pulling for the Kings

San Antonio is one game back of Phoenix for the 1st seed. San Antonio also has the tie-breaker against the Suns.

So, the Spurs have five games left: Blazers, @Utah, Grizzlies, @Grizzlies and the T'Wolves at home.

Phoenix also has five games left: NO, Clippers, KINGS, Denver, @KINGS!

Just for fun I'll say the Spurs go 4-1. That would leave Denver and the Kings needing to beat the Suns to give the Spurs the #1 seed. If the Spurs manage to win out that last game could really mean something!!!

I don't remember a time when things were still so up in the air from the top seed all the way down to #8.

It's fun!

If we Magically beat the Suns, and the Spurs get the 1st seed, how does that help us? Then were definitely the 5th seed and if we beat Dallas we get the Spurs in the 2nd round. If TD is healthy, our odds aren't very good at winning that series especially without home court advantage. So why would we want to make Spurs fans happy.

i think it's a win-win for the spurs.

1st, they'd want us to be the 7th seed so they can matchup with us in the 1st round. we'd have to lose so we'd fall to 7th.

2nd, if they knock out the suns for 1st seed (and we stay in the 5th), they'd get us in the 2nd round (IF we make it there).

sooo, that sucks. cause i don't want to make the spurs happy.

well, i hope the grizzlies and the wolves beat them, and they go 2-3 in their last 5.

I'm not saying it is a good thing for the Kings! I was only pointing out that the #1 seed is preferable for the Spurs and that the Kings beating the Suns once or twice would go along way in helping the Spurs get the #1 seed. That's all.

I dont think Timmy is gonna be himself at all even if he does make it back! 3 ankle injuries in one year could make him really tentative thus not the Duncan we all fear.

If we beat the suns twice and spurs goes 4-1 (example) spurs might get the first seed. Well heres the problem... would you rather face the Suns or the Spurs in the second round? to me it would'nt really matter but if i were to choose i'd rather get the suns for a better chance at the western finals.
