Only the flies on the room at the Board of Governors meetings knows how the totem pole of concerns looks, but the pushback of the Kings' intended move to the nation's second-largest media market is as real as advertised. And the few flies that have been buzzing since then have had nothing but negative things to say about the Maloofs' motives.

There is, according to both ownership and front-office sources who spoke to SI.com, very little incentive to help an ownership group that's in such perceived disarray while simultaneously hurting two teams that are so much more vital to the overall cause.

I guess that's why things had changed.. They are basically pushing themselves into a larger market while hurting two teams and in the meantime their financials are a bit out of whack.

That is so awesome. It's so nice to see that the NBA is seeing the Maloofs as the shady crooks, spoiled brats, and inept owners that they truly are. There is justice in the world! Not only have they alienated the fans but it looks like they've seriously tarnished their image and reputation with their fellow owners. They've made themselves looks like bumbling small timers on a national stage. Serves them right for trying to sneak out of town on a poorly conceived back door deal that required stepping on Jerry Buss' toes to pull off. Good job, Magoofs!
