I've seen Anthony Davis play in college. As a 220lb big man.

And he and Eric Gordon can have fun trying to carry Ryan Anderson (without Dwight to draw the attention), Robin Lopez, Al Farouq Aminu, Grevis Vasques and the rest of the riffraf to 25 wins or so while Emeka Okafor, Chris Kaman, Jarret Jack, Marco Bellinelli, Carl Landry, Trevor Ariza, and almost every other rotation player on their team suits up elsewhere. They are starting compeltely over.

I sort of agree with you in the short term. Although I do think New Orleans has improved their team, I also think it will take some time for everything to jell. So short term, I agree. Long term, I think they'll be quite a bit better down the road. As for Anthony Davis. He's one of the most unique players to come along in a while. I'd also like to point out, that Bill Russell was a 215 pound big man coming out of college, and that the 7'2" Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Weighed only 225 pounds coming out of college. I think you, and a lot of people are going to be very surprised by Davis.

entirely different era on those former two. An era when nobody worked out (in fact it was discouraged).

Davis may or may not be the shiznit in time. As a 220lb rookie he's going to take his lumps, and if Gordon goes down with his annual injury that's a Bobcats level roster.
