Lets hope it become less like Halies Commet (a spectatualr rare occurance) and more like Yellow Stones best know Gyser... Old Faithfull!

Well if they played D like they did today for the rest of the year I'd consider them a real title contender. But, I don't think we can. With Chris and peja you get more skill but less overall hustle and athletisism. Maybe when the playoffs start they'll kick it up a notch like last year. Barnes was great on the glass today...really going for rebounds or tips or strips. You'll never see that from Peja and Chris's transition D is pretty bad.

It'll be interesting to see our D in the post season.

2 thumbs *WAY* up :)

this game reminds me of the game last year vs the lakers, when we went into staples and took out the lakers minus webber, miller and jackson vs their HOF line up.

Right on! It also reminds me of that Lakers game too.

Why don't they do that every game?

Silly. If they did, we'd have nothing to criticize them for... Well, except for Cat being such a ball hog and all.

It was getting very excited when i saw Darius, Brad and Matt...all crash the boards for those gang rebounds...ESPECIALLY on the offensive rebounds

and Mike with yet another spectacular block

Yeha -- guess the question I do have would be can we do this with our normal lineup? No questions this afternoon though. The guys we had out there got after it.

Before the deadline the kings got a great deal and got an all-star calibur player in Cuttino, last year the pistons did the same thing and got Rasheed, and look what he did, and the results of their season, could there be the same story at the end of this season in Sac-town?Seems like the same type of story is brewing.;-)

Well, part of this Adelman needs to attend to in terms of rotation, which he's actually done a pretty good job of lately. I think it's really more about rebounds than anything else - Webber's been doing much better this year one-on-one with premier post players (maybe cause he's learned to better compensate for his waning lateral movment) and obviously Pedja's man-to-man D is the best it's ever been. But today's squad showed the most active and effective team D i've seen for quite a while -when was the last time anyone say 5 Kings pounding the boards with their opponents behind them? Maybe it's just the exuberance of youth, but if Adelman can harness this into a balanced rotation with a healthy team, San Antonio doesn't look so daunting....

Games like this that show Adelman what different combinations of players can do in certain matchups are invaluable later in the year when he can recall today's efforts and use them again when it may seem appropriate. That the lesson was learned under durress makes it that much sweeter. Kudo's to all but especially Matt who led the way with hustle and Cat who sucked it up and played hurt and was instrumental in stifling Woves runs at the right time.

Good post^^

neither do i..... if they do it more often, with peja and webber in the lineup... maybe not blow 17 point leads to the heat, lose to the warriors or hornets.... then maybe, just maybe i could see the big deal with this teams defense...... until then, i'm just happy that they won.
