In true Artest fashion even his interview didn't completely clarify the situation to me last night. I thought he was just upset, because he saw people opt out and get longer term deals for good money.

This morning I hear that Artest and his agent had a meeting with Petrie yesterday to talk about an extension, and Petrie allegedly told them that Artest was not necessarily in the Kings long term plans.

Petrie has gone on record saying that Artest his agent, and himself had a candid conversation, and he wasn't going into it any further than that.

So THAT'S why he feels he made a big mistake, because he thought he could get some kind of long term deal, but isn't going to.
