All-Star
Now that it looks like Artest may have some trade value afterall, here's a hybrid trade that could go down on traft day. Doesn't work on realgm, but salaries will match this summer once Gooden goes off BYC status.

I'm not that high on Gooden, but this would give the Kings some $14 million in expiring contracts, just in time for a loaded 2008 free agency. Getting the #20 pick would be nice, too, as I'd like to see Petrie maybe package the Miami pick and Sac's own for a mid-lottery big man, if at all possible.
Say we traded #20 and #10 (or whatever we end up with) and get a Spencer Hawes-level player. Have another losing season (but exciting with JWill and developing youth) and you enter the 2008 draft with a lotto pick. Draft Darren Collison with the 6 or 7 pick, and you enter 2008 free agency (with a lot of big names) with $15 million in cap space and a lineup of:
PG: Darren Collison/Garcia/Price?
OG: Martin/Douby
SF: Salmons/Wright (Restricted FA)
PF: (Big name FA)/Gooden/Thomas
C: Hawes/Miller
Hire Vlade as an assistant coach, and watch Hawes turn into the best passing big man in the league learning from the two best in recent years. He's got a great post game too. Collison and Martin would be a speedy backcourt, and not bad on the defensive end. Still a lack of athleticism inside (Gooden doesn't help much there), but could make a move in FA with the ton of cap space. Not the best rebuilding plan (Miller and Thomas are still around, and are making a bunch of $$ while we want to be playing the kids) but could be an interesting one.
