Sac Bee breaking news...another earthquake

A 5.2 earthquake, centered near Weaverville, has hit the Shasta Forest.

Quakes in Reno, Northern CA, and Illinois/Indiana. What's up with that?

I hadn't felt any earthquakes since leaving Pasadena 11 years ago, but now I've felt two in the last two weeks.

As sick as it may sound... I'd kind of missed them.

Well, to clarify, I'd missed the gentle rolly ones like tonight. I've been through the long jaggedy ones before, too, and I definitely don't miss those.

I don't ever miss them.......not that I have felt that many, fortunately.

How close were you to the epicenter, GGG?

I know what you mean GGG. The rolling ones are ok...weird how you can hear the aftershock before you can feel it, huh?

One year we had so many, some friends and I were sitting around watching TV when we had another. We didn't even get up, but sat there guessing the magnitude...3.8?? 4.2?? Then we would turn on KFWB for all the info.

I remember when the Northridge quake hit...it woke me up, of course, and I could hear the water in the toilet sloshing back and forth. I just went back to sleep and when I woke up and saw the news........sad. (I lived about 100 miles from Northridge.)
