RUMOR-Ron to NY?

Insanity has a better contract than sanity
Insanity's trade value can hit rock bottom fast. Like Brick said, it would give us a "stable" future trade chip. If Ron wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and becomes "RonRon", and decides he wants to rap rather than play ball, or join the opera or tour all the baseball stadiums in Japan, or whatever, we're screwed.

With Lamar Odom, the only thing that's gonna drop his value is if he gets seriously injured (or if he smokes his way into a coma upon hearing that he's been traded to Sacramento for Ron Artest), and while that' s a real possibility with a guy like Lamar, it's a lot easier to live with that possibility than with the uncertainty of whether Artest is Ron, or if he's "RonRon". Which can change with the breeze.

So if the Lakers called and said: "Give us Artest and we'll give you Lamar," I'd ask for a second rounder to go along with it, and if they called back and said no, I'd say: "Give me Lamar." And if they called back and said yes, I'd say: "What's wrong with Lamar? Hell, who cares?! Give him to me anyways. And thanks for the pick, Mitch."

Because an instable crazy person is always trumped by a sane injury-prone person.

You've been drinking that New York Knicks fans kool-aid.

Along with apparently the entire rest of the league.

Youd do realize, don't you, that when Ron tries to self annoint himself as right there with Kobe and LeBron and friends that the correct reaction is a giggle?

Lamar Odom is a Top 50 player in this league. That's not bad return on anything short of a superstar Top 10 type player, which we don't have.

I don't know what exactly that means. Are you saying that Artest is so much better than Lamar that it's worth the uncertainty?

No, the Knicks fans just play the "RON ARTEST IS CRAZY" card so they feel vindicated in offering up Nate Robinson and Jared Jeffries as "fair" value for him.

Sure Artest has a lil craziness about him...but if didn't, he wouldn't be NEAR the player that he is in talent though. I mean who really LOVES playing defense like Ron does? He's definitely crazy....you and brick are just overhyping the amount of craziness like Knicks fans do.

I'm not sure who is drinking whose kool-Aid. Yes, it was reported/rumored that the Knicks offered garbage in exchange but then again as fans we are seemingly wanting/expecting first round picks with young players that have potential in return. Who is being more unrealistic other than both?

If the Kings could get Odom in return, don't give them time to reconsider. IMHO, if they could get Balkman, Rose and enders for Artest and Thomas, they should do the deed and stop the ticking. I personally think both of these would make better fits, as far as personnel goes, than what currently exists.

Let's keep it about the topic at hand and not other members, mmm-kay?
