Rudy Gay trade to Charlotte

All,

This is a trade with Charlotte I put together. It is a simple one.

Rudy Gay for Al Jefferson.

Why for Charlotte? It gives them a fringe all star wing they have been looking for but can't seem to get.
Why for Kings? Bring in a big man to play along DC, making it hard for the smaller teams to post up.

Take care! :)

Um, no thanks.

This is the 2nd gem from this person I've had the pleasure displeasure of stumbling across. If it wasn't obvious the 1st time, it's obvious now -- we are being trolled.

That said, if this team was going to consider trading Rudy Gay, I wonder if there's any chance we could convince Orlando to part with Victor Oladipo?

I was hopeful that this trade would be centered around bringing Batum to Sacramento. Unfortunately, I end up disappointed...

Batum (in my mind) is the perfect SF to put next to Cousins & Rondo (at least the perfect SF that is attainable). He's very unselfish, plays good defense, has good size, length, & athleticism, is 27 years old, rebounds well, can spread the floor shooting the three, and can be a secondary scorer.

I'm working on some scenarios where we could end up with this team:

PG - Rondo (36 min)/T.Evans (12 min)/T. Douglas/Curry
SG - Bazemore-C. Lee-Crabbe-McLemore (28 min)/T. Evans (20 min)/Anderson
SF - Batum (34 min)/Casspi (14 min)/Butler
PF - Cauley-Stein (17 min) /R. Anderson-Mirotic-P. Patterson (25 min)/Casspi (6 min)/Acy
C - Cousins (37 min)/Cauley-Stein (11 min)/Aldrich-Ajinca

Cousins = 37 min
Rondo = 36 min
Batum = 34 min
T. Evans = 32 min
Cauley-Stein = 28 min
Bazemore-C. Lee-Crabbe-McLemore = 28 min
R. Anderson-Mirotic-P. Patterson = 25 min
Casspi = 20 min

I know it's a ton of changes to the roster, but I think this is the type of team you try to put around Cousins. However, the trickiest part is acquiring Batum...

We'd have nowhere the money to obtain all of these guys lol

Batum will be a UFA and I think he's going to resign back with the Hornets unless we give out huge money AND a big role. He's not going to come here if he's the 3rd-4th option. He wants to be the 2nd option.

Bazemore could come here on a nice contract, but I doubt we'd have enough money to sign both him and Rondo. Unless Rondo decides to take a paycut...don't think it's likely. We had to pay nearly 10mpy to get a washed-up Dallas version of Rondo. It was a gamble... now that he's proven he still has it on offense, he's going to command more.

Who said we're getting all of them? Rondo, Douglas, McLemore, Evans, Batum, Casspi, Cauley-Stein, Mirotic, Cousins, & Ajinca. Batum & Rondo would be the only players who are FAs next year. The rest would be through trade. What are you getting at?

I know very well how much money it is going to take to sign Batum, but what makes you think Batum would be a 3rd or 4th option on that team I just listed? He would be the 2nd option right behind Cousins.

We won't have enough money to sign Rondo & Bazemore if we don't make any trades to shed salary. What about my post makes you think we would be holding onto guys like Koufos, Belinelli, & Collison? Their departure would free up more cap space.
