Robert Swift as backup C?

I don't know if the injury on his right knee is career-ending.
I don't see him on the OKC roster anymore.

7"1', 12th pick of 2004. Seems above average shotblocker.
And some personality. See the evolution....

And damn, seems a little too surprised to dunk between Shaq and Amare.

2 yrs. for 5M...if he's got his knee back.:D

theres a reason why he didnt blossom in SEA and OKC.. heck jerome james started over him...if we do hire him we have two centers with knee problems :(

its easier now to take fesenko from the jazz they are trying to save money.. also why not take that russian center who went undrafted.. hes like fesenko too Vyachesalev kravtsov

i mean come on... take a look at this

At the moment, Hawes has no problems with his knee's. I can't predict the future, but neither can you...

Swift may be able to prosper in the league, but I can only imagine in limited minute situations due to his knee issues. I think the Kings can a) do better in free agency b) are likely looking for guys with a bigger upside.

Seriously, how good could Swift ever be? I see him as a limited minute guy who fills a specific role, not a starter and certainly not a star... why try for that?

I don't want us to waste our time with a guy who's just going to get hurt and miss most of the season and then we'll have to end up looking for someone else during the season. However, our backup doesn't have to be someone with Scott Pollard potential or something, just someone who can fill a role for a year or two. If we can get someone like Fesenko even better, but we don't have to IMO.

Played against him in High School when he attended Bakersfield. The guy is soft as cookies not exactly sure how he went so high in the 2004 NBA draft, but when you're 7 foot tall the world is handed to you isn't it. We don't need an unathletic back up we need a mix of shot blocker rebounder who can possibly run the floor. I'd have to swiftly say no to swift hahahahahahaha:D

Not only does this guy have zero game, but he looks like a major d-bag with that hair and those over night tatoos. Come on bro, quit trying to fool people, you're not tough. A massive F no.

I say why not, if he doesn't work out on the court he can do the halftime act with his band Megadeth.

I say if we want a bust of a OKC/Sonic center grab Sear Sene the 'Shot blocking beast' drafted in the lottery a few years back.

No thank you to Swift.

He should form some kind of support group with Cherokee Parks for the most tattoos on a guy who looks like he has no business getting one tattoo.

Cherokee Parks actually does have legit rock and roll cred. Well at least his sister does.

I'd rather have Ike. We've already seen 7 foot stiffs do nothing. Does Jabari Smith, Greg Ostertag, and Vitaly Potapenko ring any bells?

We should cool it or Kings-karma will dictate that he drops 20 and 20 on us.
