Rethinking the rebuild/reload

Now that the draft is over and Memphis did not get what they wanted, would it be plausible to look for Gasol suitors? If so, here are some scenarios that I see happening:

Kings pick up Gasol, ownership gets vet coach and looks to "get back into the playoffs". Small moves are made to get Sacramento back into the 5-8 seed. I know, blasphemy, but it may be creeping into the minds of the Maloofs...

Memphis realizes it can do the same, and decides to shop around for vets. Kings offer up players like Bibby/SAR/Miller (I'm not even including Thomas - I don't think his contract can be feasibly moved unless we're in dream land) in an attempt to get Memphis to that spot, receiving enders/cap relief.

The question is, do the Grizzlies value their current pick now that it isn't the first overall?

P.S. To Celtics: HA HA!

"Now that we clinched at least having the second-most balls in the lottery, the last three games we’ll see what happens."

I think we would have more chance of getting that early pick from Atlanta or Boston.

Either by trading a veteran their way (Boston) or buy trading pick 10 and a player or future pick to Atlanta for pick 3. Hibbert apparently withdrawing his name from the pool makes that pick 10 a little less apealing to Atlanta.

I would LOVE to get Brandan Wright and if it means sacrificing pick 10 and a player then so be it. Too good a chance to pick up a potential stud at PF.
