Redd's Back

redd doesn't deserve 90 mill.

This deal is going to have huge ramifications throughout the league. For a player like Michael Redd to get 90-96 million is horrendous.

Okay, two ramifications for us:

1) we're going to be stuck paying Peja the max and really have to figure our what we want to do now.

2) Cleveland could come looking for Mobley and mess up any Nene deal.

In general, sucky news for us.

Damn, and for 6 years. I like Redd but he definately shouldn't be making nearly that much. I wouldn't offer him anymore than 60 mill.

I'm much more interested in trading Peja now.

I like the guy, but if Redd is worth a max deal, it's hard to argue that Peja isn't.

Wow, amaizing that Hamilton went as low as he did a couple years back...

Redd... a max player.

Wow.

Go BOGUT!!!

Redd's younger, no? 25 and 28 are slightly different. We will be giving him a contract at 29 ala Ray Allen this year.

I aggree Pedja will get a deal like Ray Allen than Redd's contract that ofcourse is mainly to do with his age. I think Pedja will get 5 year 75 contract at the most but we need to extend it this year and not wait untill he goes on the open market.

As I learned in economics, as the demand increases while the supply decreases, a rise in price occurs.

Well, the demand for Peja is not going up, but his price is. What do your economic books say about that? Peja-flation?

I think the 90 mil has more to do with the market for him than his actual value- if cleveland hadn't been pushing so hard for him, as well as minny and others, apparently, he would have gotten less. the chatter about him joining lebron really inflated his value. then again, the same will probably happen for peja.
