G-League
so I've heard or read that it happened often in the grand old days of small egos--great scorers, great players coming off the bench for the good of the team. and so commanding coaches manage it today with aging players--Terry, Ginobili--and even the disgruntled Bulls are able to employ the tactic with their leading scorer, B. Gordon.

so I dunno, what are the advantages?

it seems like there are certain players that just provide instant offense, and play as well off the bench as they do when in the starting lineup (sometimes even better)--and of course such players will be in there at crunch time. and then maybe it works well with players who aren't the best defenders--allowing the stronger defenders to start and set the pace for the game. and finally, it might be nice to let the younger, more inconsistent players get some starts to find their offensive rhythm--plus there are some players just don't seem to play as well off the bench.

so KingsFans: John really does not play to his potential when coming off the bench; with his starting opportunities, Francisco is developing into a serious offensive threat; and the humble Martin has been remarkable in two games off the bench, and is weak on D when compared to both John and Cisco.

so is there any sense in bringing Martin off the bench permanently?

so will VF bench this thread?

so so so
