That was his tweet. I'm telling you..Vivek wasn't crazy when he was talking about position-less basketball. The league already does it. The league has always had position-less players, Vivek is just the first one to actually give it a name.
No, he wasn't.

"The story behind LeBron James, Erik Spoelstra and the Heat's "position-less" basketball philosophy."

Vivek hasn't done anything. And he's getting caught up in names and fun (simple, childlike) ideas about basketball. The Warriors didn't win because of positionless basketball, they won because of talent, hard work, and teamwork. They have the best shooter ever. Ever. Do you guys understand that? Ever. No one has shot from far better than Curry. They can play "positionless" because they have guys that have talent and because they're able to make the floor larger than it's ever been before. If you have talent you can do more with the players and allow them to do more things within their position. Dub it positionless if you want. It's still basketball. If you have 5 guys that are 6'10" and can defend point guards, you too can play "positionless basketball." But it's still basketball. They still have roles. It's the same court. They are just able to have tall people stay on the court because of being fast and agile enough to guard smaller guys.
It's not rocket science. And Vivek isn't some genius masquerading as an idiot. The last couple of years we've bled talent and let talent walk for nothing. That's why we have no assets. That's why we can't play "positionless basketball." Vivek, in fact, has done it completely wrong. The Warriors took GOOD players and then turned them loose. They played to their strengths. Vivek went opposite, trying to shoehorn a guy that has shown very little in the league (Williams) into the Kings plan because he was athletic. That's how Vivek went positionless. crapty talent, good athleticism. Must be positionless. Give me a break.
