If that's the end of the trade, I'm not happy, but a 3rd party hungry for expirings(Allen + Kenny + HA + Sergio) could net us something >> Kevin + Noc

I have always like Ray Allen.....I think I might do the Kmart/Nocioni for Ray Allen. would be nice if we can get a pick also...since he would prob walk.

Celtics are my 2nd favorite team, so its a win win for a Kmart fan.


There is also a rumor Paul Pierce broke his foot....the could use both Kmart and Nocioni.

The bottom line is Ray Allen (who I've loved as one of the really great pure shooters of all-time) turns 35 in a few months. Still playing at a surprising high level, but surely will decline pretty soon. He probably would just be a rental until the rest of the season - meaning only a handful of games. Maybe he would consider a short reasonable contract of maybe 2 yrs w/3rd option but more likely he's soon to be like BJax last year - the vet minimum sooner rather than later.

Boston apparently has made inquires about Martin. Which I can understand. They do have to start thinking about the future at some point. Allen is an expiring contract and he may have more trade value right now than at any time in the future.
