ray allen to the heat

Really dissapointed with sugar rays decision here. was hoping he'd re up with the Cs and have one last run.

He takes less money so i guess it really is all about wining. He was nearly traded a few times so you can hardly argue about loyalty

Gotta disagree just a bit. I don't think it's about the winning for Allen as much as it is about playing time. I wish him nothing but the best.

Well, I mean the question is, what kind of PT is he going to get in Miami? He will most certainly be coming off the bench behind Wade, right? I would think the minutes would be equal at best.

its all about sticking it to the Cs here and i dont blame him. All those nearly traded moments and that one moment where he was only for it to break down. Its all about sticking it back to the Cs. This move no doubt cuts them deep, and whats more is they cant blame him at all for moving on. He's taking less money and moving to a better situation where he will have another shot at 2 or 3 more titles in an organisation that makes him feel valued

Yes yes, and soon any vet above 31 will start agreeing to minimum contracts and one day you'll see Miami and LA's rosters entirely full of current and ex-all stars. But hey, they all feel valued right?

if this isnt a traitor move i dont really know what would be. he was demanding 3yrs/27mil from the celtics and they were willing to do 3yrs/18mil with a full no trade clause yet he chose to go to a direct rival without a no trade clause for 3yrs/9mil. i think boston fans arent even as upset that he left but more upset at the destination, its like a double whammy to them.

Apparently, he was suitably convinced that he'll get more minutes playing behind Dwyane Wade in Miami than he would playing behind Avery Bradley and Jason Terry in Boston.

I generally oppose the idea of free agency on principle, for what I admit to be purely selfish and emotional reasons. That said, I also happen to be of the opinion that, once you've been traded, all bets are off, and you should be allowed to go where you want, with no repercussions or hard feelings. Ray Allen has already been traded in his career, not counting the "sign and trade/get me outta here" deal that sent him to Boston in the first place.

And, if the graphic that I saw yesterday (it was, allegedly, a screen capture of a twitter feed, but I did not independently verify the veracity) is in any way close to being a true representation of how Boston fans are reacting, then they should be ashamed of themselves, and they deserve anything and everything bad that happens, has happened, or will happen to them.

After they signed Jason Terry it was a done deal that Ray was moving on, since the Celts are the only other team I actively root for I want to say thanks for his service and wish him no ill will. Even on that team.

I just watched an interview with the owner of the Heat. They lost money last year. So he says. That's even with 13 extra games tacked on to what we in Sacramento think is the season.

The only thing that annoys me about this is that you will NEVER, EVER play against anyone else on 2k13.

I stopped playing online as it is!
