Race to the Bottom thread

I’m so pumped we won some of those extra games. Who needs lottery balls when you have WINNING CULTURE!

I'm so pumped our fans want to intentionally throw games! Makes this place THAT much more enjoyable to keep coming back to!

Very few games this year were "vets only" wins. I distinctly recall a contingent here pissed when Devin Carter went off for 20+ in the 2nd half and said we should have benched him to lose that game vs Indy.

Yeah DDR+Russ ball was incredibly annoying and they carried a few wins. They also carried a BUNCH of losses and were basically a main component of why this team was where it was.

Max was 17-10 from March 1st on. Should he have been benched during some of the bigger games he had? Should we have pulled Carter amidst his huge scoring surge in that Indy game? Just fully kill the last sliver of confidence that kid might have? Nique dropped 23-6-5 on 16 shots vs NOP. Tell him to take a hike? Or when he dropped 20-6-6 on 14 shots vs GS? Same thing?

I've been fully on board with turning this to the kids WAY sooner than we ended up doing. But people acting outraged when we win a game with the kids playing extremely well is just par for the course for a few here. I might respect your stance if you just come out and say they should have intentionally thrown the game, at least you wouldn't dance around your take.

Actually as much as I despise this organization, in many ways this flip was okay. It really only matters if we both fail to make the top 4 which could happen but could well not. By loosing we do get our 2nd round pick in front of Utah for sure.
I'm not 100% on this, but I think if we jump Utah in the Lottery then Utah's second round pick will slip in front of ours. But if that happens, we won't care, I promise.

Well at least Utah’s pick won’t convey to OKC, not yet anyway. They already have the Clipper’s lottery pick, im not sure about the protections on that one, and the 76ers pick around 17.
Their own pick goes to Dallas. Amazing how many first round picks they have accumulated.
I also think we have won the majority of tiebreakers over the years. I’m not too fussed, it might mean the difference of Acuff vs another possibly better PG, but I expect a trade or two in the summer which could alter our fortunes as much as the pick.
