Just for funzies, here's a look at 1-4 over the last five drafts... the second worst team has fared significantly better than the first worst.

With the bottom 3 teams having the same odds what’s the difference in finishing since you just want to be bottom three not necessarily the worst

Yeah, the odds are the same. The only benefit to being the very worst is that you're guaranteed to get no worst than the 5th pick in the draft.

Yeah, the odds are the same. The only benefit to being the very worst is that you're guaranteed to get no worst than the 5th pick in the draft.

The flipside that is that if you have the very worst record, your pick can only get worse

Our odds are slightly better than that though since we finished in a tie with Utah. These are the updated odds and there's still a chance we swap pre-lotto places with Utah whenever they do the coin flip. It hasn't happened yet.

I'm undecided if I actually want to win the coin flip. The 5th slot seems to have historically done better than the 4th spot. Yes, slotting in at 5 lowers our floor slightly with a slim chance of picking 9th, but winning 1-4 is what actually matters here.
