It would be great is the bottom 2 teams get relegated to the Gleague and the 2 top teams in the G League go to the NBA , it would make things way more interesting. It could make the Gleague into a viable league instead of the joke it is and try get it on par with Euroleague with maybe lots of players coming back to play in the US.

This would make the Gleague a viable watchable product instead of all this other crap like NBA europe and play-ins, in season cups. The incentive to tank will disappear when your getting the 30th pick in the Gleague rather than the first in the NBA.

GLeague teams are all affiliated with NBA clubs, so a relegation scheme with the GLeague would make zero sense.

There is zero consequences if you miss the playoffs in fact you can get a generational talent out of it

Well, the consequences are that you don't get to compete at the highest level. It's like saying there are zero consequences for not qualifying for the olympics.

But the NBA is the Olympics it's the highest level of basketball and you get to play all the teams that make the playoffs.

See that's the thing, I think in the NBA there's always been a step change in the level of competition once the playoffs begin. There's a practical reality that an 82 game season doesn't allow teams to go as hard as 7 game series.
