One of the best gifts this holiday season besides health and family are the Kings.
Even the folks who do the Power rankings seem to be coming around to us this season. At least now as I would love to it stay this way.

Was checking around and it seems most have us in the 14 to 16 range with Sports illustrated even having us at 5. Not too sure about the last one but maybe they are trying to get a jump on the future.

I was impressed with the way they have weathered the slight minor injuries in the last few weeks.

The Kings have gained my RESPECT for what they have achieved in such a short time.

They should use those expired contracts and sign a legit star next year. The Kings have too many guards that can shoot. What I think they need most is someone like Kevin Love. He would FIT perfectly in this system. If you place Kevin Love in the Center position, they can't sag off and defend the paint because Love is going to make them pay. This will allow De'Aaron Fox much easy time attacking the basket with his speed. They can sag off with Willie Cauley-Stein because he isn't that great a shooter. A lineup with FOX, Buddy Hield, Iman Shumpert (or Bogi), Bjlica (or Bagley) and Love is much more dangerous than playing a Center that can't shoot.

On the other end the other team would score 150 points a game when Love plays and Love would spend half the season in street clothes at the end of the bench with his yearly injury.

De'Aaron has gotten better at attacking the basket but his biggest leap has been navigating the pick and roll, pinning his man behind him and forcing the big to make a choice before dishing ro his man or scoring himself. That's why I think you want him with WCS or maybe Bagley as the five man. That and having a dump off option when he attacks without a pick.

If Bagley continues to develop (skillwise and in terms of strength) he could be the ideal modern big who rebounds, defends, scores inside, runs in transition, and can also step out and space the floor.

I'd be horribly disappointed to see the Kings going after Kevin Love. He's a poor fit in terms of playing style IMO and at 30 with an injury history he's a poor fit with the Kings young, athletic core who need to play fast.

I don't agreed that he does not fit with the style. That dude can run up and down tirelessly with Lebron running the show and jacking up 3s and making team pay for them. He is the Center that the Kings need to spread the floor allowing FOX to attack the basket with ease. Willie can't shoot and so teams can just clog up the lane.

Kings may be ahead of schedule but they have the right mindset in regards to their core.......don’t eff with it. They know what they got in Bagley as a probable star and they know what they most likely have in Giles as a high level big with potential for more. These guys are a year away from taking it up another notch but in the meantime, gaining incr dibble experience in a playoff push.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

I just can't see having such a poor defender as the starting five for the Kings. Especially given his age and price tag.

And Willie doesn't clog up the lane. He's there as the roll man and as a dump off option when Fox (or anyone else) drives. He's essentially playing the same role that Capela does with the Rockets, if not as successfully.
