from NBA.com on the PG situation:
What does this mean for the point guard position?:
Musselman: “It means that we have one week left of exhibition games and we will start John tomorrow night and Ron becomes even more important and then Jason needs to stay ready as well. We have great confidence in all three of those guys. Jason is a guy that has not gotten much of an opportunity, as we have looked at Quincy and have tried to build up Ronnie Price’s confidence. But Jason is a nice safety valve back there because he has a lot of games under his belt. He is a veteran and a composed man when he is out on the floor.”
Are there any advantages or disadvantages of playing a team back-to-back?:
Musselman: "Not really. We still have so much that we’re trying to work on. I would almost rather see a different team, but the schedule is how it is. It is great to play against a point guard like Chris Paul when we are without our starting point guard. From that standpoint, I think it is really good because now our guys are going to be tested right away tomorrow night against one of the premier point guards in the NBA.”
Is Jason in a pretty good mindset?:
Musselman: "There is no question that Jason would like to play more. I’m sure he is frustrated and the only thing that we have told him is that he’s got a great attitude. Everybody thinks very highly of him because of his professionalism. Things happen, and you never know.”
