I think all this is just Detroit's wishful thinking on the most part.

That's comical, pretty wishful thinking that they'll be able to get Cousins at 7 without trading up. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN...

Reading the tea leaves, it appears we may have been shopping a Hawes/Nocioni package for a solid defending veteran on a large expiring contract. Petrie may have even wanted Prince more than Dalembert...who knows. Detroit probably asked to switch picks to make it happen and we said no way. Good thing....that would have been horrible.

I too got this impression. I'm much, much happier with Dalembert than I would be with Prince, pick swap or not.
