well as of my question i twitter sacramento kings,
they said there still working on tv schedule so i hope that CSNet with
show then or NEWS10 like last year

Just heard back from my rep. Said they are still finalizing the schedule and it may be a few weeks before it's released. I wouldn't count on the pre season games being on TV.

Just to let everyone know, the Kings aren't producing ANY of the preseason games for TV. Kind of sucks, I assume more cost cutting on their end???

Grant said yesterday on Sportsline that most other teams have also cut preseason games from being broadcast as a cost cutting move - sounds like the Kings are pretty much in line with the rest of the league on this.

well, dont forget, just because the KINGS arent broadcasting, doesnt mean the teams they are playing against wont .. Hopefully some of them will be on league pass...

maybe even NBA.com

^ arent all games aired on league pass? Im planning on purchasing league pass for the 1st time just so i can watch kings games.

No TV for preseason

BLOG UPDATE (3:39 pm): The lack of an agreement with News10 simply means there will be no regular season games on that channel. But the change that relates to the preseason is with Comcast, as that's where preseason games were previously aired. That's a Kings decision based on finances to not air the games there.
News10 - which just put out its own story here - has shifted the focus of its relationship with the Kings in a way that doesn't include airing games.

We'll have more on this tomorrow's paper, but there will be no Kings preseason games on TV.
The Kings and News10 did not come to an agreement on a deal, so it's all radio and newspapers (online too) in the exhibition season. - Sam Amick

One wonders, and hopes/assumes that losing the last few channel 10 games will be covered by Comcast picking thme up. I mean, it hasn't gotten so bad there are going to be untelevised games again has it?

God, I certainly hope not. Although, since they need to put more butts in the seats, I would not be surprised if some of the home games stopped being televised. Hopefully, it has not come to that.

I was told by someone at comcastsportsnet that they plan airing more regular season games than previous years. I don't know if that means all games, but it could since they aren't sharing any with News10 any longer.

Well I went through the other team schedules for away games, Phoenix and OKC do not show any loacal tv coverage for the Kings Preseason games, so those may not be available even on league pass at the local pub?

The only preseason game showing coverage was the Laker game in Vegas, was showing a local station. so Im guessing I can go to pub that has league pass to watch that Game.

Since I gave tickets to two home preseason I guess I will only see 3 pre-season games

Maybe Comcast sportsnet will get it together and air a few games?

This so sucks

If more people went to the games (and bought goodies at the team store, etc.) the team would have the $$$ to pay for things like free broadcasts of preseason games.

Of course, if the team didn't suck last year (and even before then), they would have more butts in the seats. ;)

If they hadn't given Beno the contract they did, I guess the same arguement applies too.

You could play this game until the cows come home....

Ive had league pass for years.

Correct me if Im wrong, but the games that are on league pass are only there when one of the two teams playing has a broadcast.

For example, our first 2 games against portland .. the Blazers arent showing there pre-season games either. So neither team will be broadcasting it.. which means league pass wont have it.

Last year NBA.TV had a bunch of pre-season games streamed via internet. OK at best. I decided to combine several business/medical visits end of month and come up to see the Jazz pre-season game just to see first hand what the Kings have.

Who knows, check on ESPN NBA as well, they may carry a few games. Have in the past.

Yep! I think that is what you can expect a lot of. That's one of the reasons that league pass carried about 1/2 the pre-season games last year. Actually, I expect it to be even fewer this year.

Yeah, I'm hoping that's the way it works from my end. Sucks for hte locals though.

one would like to think they would do the samething as the open practice. it wasnt a bad feed at all and i would be completely satisfied with that. and i believe its free on thier part. hopefully i am right, im ready for some kings games!
