I chose Hornets, although I think the Rockets will make the postseason as well. Just not as much of a "surprise," considering all they need is a healthy year from Yao and T-Mac.

I gotta say the Hornets. With the off-season addition of Peja, and the improvement of Chris Paul, they can be really good this year. Dont forget Most Improved candidate David West last year...

Tough call just because the only team in the West I would be surprised to see make the playoffs would be the Blazers. Certainly I think Houston has an excellent chance to be a serious team with health. Horents have a good shot, but they are hardly flying under the radar after the big summer + haven't looked good yet. Jazz I think could make it, but have a relatively low ceiling -- a #8 seed, but I would only be surprised if they were a #5 or whatnot. So I guess of those teams it would be the Wolves, who people may be underestimating wiht their new Cassel/Spree/KG trio of James/Davis/KG.
