Yes it does, but you also have to take into consideration who we have played. The Wolves, Nets, Cavs, and Raptors is the easiest schedule out of any team so far.

we beat some lottery teams after falling behind by double digits in each game;;; these rankings are pretty generous i must say;;; we will know where this team really stands after the next few games;;;

Rankings came out before we won our third.
If we win a couple more this week... we'll start catching some attention.
Kings have played two teams that lost their best player, another team that is probably the worst run team outside of Clipperland and a fourth team that had the worst record in the league last year.
But they are winning games they lost last year. Seeing the Kings after facing a few good teams will start to show where they stand. Are they simply the best lottery team or can they be better?

16 as in being included in the upper half of the league??? I think that means we are in the playoffs if my math is correct...
Oh crap we still have to play 78 more games huh?
16th out of 30 is not quite in the top half just yet...
Also, according to this ranking we are 10th in the west, so still no theoretical playoffs.

Yeah, so far the only way we're in the better half is if you divide by the Mississippi rather than by 2

So any chance anybody passing through this thread would like to claim the official title Kingfans.com Power Rankings Guru And All Around Great Guy/Gal?
There are 5 sites there -- NBA.com, ESPN.com, CBSSportsline.com, Foxsports.com, CNNSI.com who all do weekly power rankings on Monday or Tuesday. I'll try to keep plopping one up every week if I must, but I've got other things going on. If anybody wants to take over collecting rankings and making sure we have one of these every week, not only will you gain a very distinguished title, but you can have the pleasure of having Slim Citrus wipe his behind with your work every week.

You focus on the Grades my good sir, I would be honored to do the weekly power rankings.
P.S. I am not a mathematic mind, but I do know 16 is NOT half of 30! How embarrassing, what I meant to say is that we are currently a 8th seed team in the West if we were #16 (record wise). I am going to stop talking now. You guys can count on me for the weekly power rankings though.

at that rate of increase, in 10 weeks the Kings will be able to wipe the floors against that team staring Jesus, Mohommed, Abraham, Bhudda and Confucious.

LOL! You know I wonder how much next week's rankings would have been affected by a win vs. LA Wed. I bet we would have gotten another noticeable boost.
