Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

None of the young guys are getting any minutes at this point. Or very few. For the first few months it'll probably be like last year where some guys play for a while then sit for no good reason. Keon, Carter, Jones, Lyles, etc. all got that last year. For this to make any sense all the onus is on the vets plain and simple. Win or go bye bye. Rebuild time after that and youth minutes won't be an issue at that point. Time to do this the right way.
The right way is to absolutely tank at all costs this year. This draft is loaded with talent. Meanwhile all the experts are saying 2027 is not worth tanking for and another anthony bennett draft. So of course we will get 3rd pick next year, after getting 10th this year.

Does the Saric trade going through last week officially take the Kings out of the Kuminga running? Along with the other moves we made? We now can't aggregate Saric for 2 months (right?) and we are only like 3-6 million or something like that from the apron?
Short of finding a home for Monk which doesn't seem realistic, I think we eliminated ourselves from Kuminga right?

Doesn't sound like Kuminga talks really got anywhere, according to Carmichael Dave

It's not just the fans who are having trouble making sense of the Kings' moves during free agency. Apparently, people all around the league look at the franchise as one big, directionless screwup. Like someone who just lost their house.

At least they drafted well...
Another 35 win season right at-cha......Schroeder is laughing to the bank.

Wonder what Perry bumped his offer up to.

Woah, "In the last week"

Frankly, the Warriors would be pretty stupid to bring him back at this point. The relationship is already so so dead and bringing him back to just trade him in December sounds like a recipe for disaster. I have no idea what's actually being offered, but I'd just accept it and move forward getting "some" value while not screwing around with one of Stephs final seasons of him being able to lead a title contender.

It's been reported he up'd the ante from.2nd to protected 1st.

Yeah, but he already came out and said that was weeks ago. I like the idea of Kuminga even if it's still potentially hazardous corner cutting. However if he ends up being Huerter levels of impactful in the grand scheme we've already seen how much those protected 1sts can hurt. Perry comes in making a move like this now and his clock is ticking. Judgement is right around the corner.

Once Kerr benches Kuminga for taking shots from Steph and Butler, the Warriors will be lucky to get those 2nd round picks back for him and his bloated contract. Their best bet would be to take the best offer and move on with trying to maximize Steph final years.

I mean, I think with Dennis being official, the only way to make Kuminga work is Monk and/or DDR have to go somewhere right? They get routed to a 3rd team, assets go to GS, Kuminga to Sac?

Who knows

Hmmm. Well that would make that offer a bit strange. I guess we could just agree in principle and then wait but that’s a while to wait

I don’t think you can agree that far out so much can happen

They don’t play him and want valuable assets for him

The Warriors are still likely in full control here unless they offered Kuminga the max and he still turned it down. The new game of GM'ing is to shave off as much in negotiations as possible. This sounds like it's 100% about money right now.
