Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

I'd rather just give that spot to IJ. Same kind of bet and it's probably better to give that "potential upside" swing spot to the guy who's been in-house

Amen to that. Isaac Jones can play in this league, yeah, hopefully he gets his shot. I get it, the rookies last season had a short leash but there were so many games that Jones deserved to be playing in last season.

I really liked Jones. Was begging for him to get those minutes over Len last season. But do we see a PF here? He seems a little to clunky/Beefy to be a PF. I know hes a bit undersized for the 5, but that's the role I had him best in. Maybe next to Maxime off the bench it works as they can switch those spots?

He can play the 4 and 5 I think. He's more athletic than Lyles.

He's got to show he can consistently shoot, but I think he's got a serious talent as a rim runner in the dunker spot. He's got seriously good hands and athleticism along with the huge wingspan.

I'd love to see him and Maxime as the back-up 4/5 this year.

If jones had a jumper, he would start. But unfortunately not.

Jones started to develop a spot 3 in the G league. He's got really good touch actually. His off the dribble ability even came out in his limited NBA minutes a few times. It might have just been because he's older and he started playing so late in life but his improvement with the Stockton Kings was pretty shocking.

Even at the end of last year you could see it needs work. He isn’t there yet. But I hope he develops it enough to be in the regular rotation.

The longer this Kuminga saga drags on, the more animosity there will be between JK and the Warriors. Not to mention that they are punting their own off season by not resolving JK's contract, so they can't make any other moves.

He shot 65% from the field last season, best on the team. As for three-point shooting, he hit 37.5%, better than Murray, Lyles, DeRozan, Monk, Fox, and Huerter, in that order.

I would not complain about his shooting at all. Isaac Jones is still raw, however. He needs more polish and more time to really understand the NBA game, which moves so fast these days.

Listen - I love Isaac Jones. I absolutely think he deserves more shot to play than he got last year, and I think he will be successful as a rotation player. But saying "As for three-point shooting, he hit 37.5%, better than Murray, Lyles, DeRozan, Monk, Fox, and Huerter, in that order..." is about the most disingenuous use of statistical averages I have ever seen.

To say he was a better three point shooter than all of those guys because he shot 37.5%, but to NOT include that he went 3/8 TOTAL, on the season, is silly. The guy played a total of 304 minutes last year and shot a total of 8 three point attempts. That he shot 37.5% needs a HUGE "small sample size" asterisk, but apparently we are doing the exact opposite and using it to claim he is a better shooter than almost every rotation player from last year...

Bro I hope he works out too. Love his story. But let’s be realistic

I came up with a trade idea that may sting a bit (Ellis)...

------------------------------

DAL Gets: DeMar DeRozan
DAL Gives: Caleb Martin, Naji Marshall, Dwight Powell, & Olivier Maxence-Prosper
Why for DAL? The Mavs add a super 6th man in DeRozan who would bring some much needed scoring & playmaking to help keep the Mavs afloat while Irving rehabs. The Mav's size, length, and defense in the frontcourt complements DeRozan well and can help hide his defensive weaknesses.

PG - Irving / Russell / Exum / Williams
SG - Thompson / Christie / Hardy
SF - Flagg / DeRozan
PF - Davis / Washington
C - Lively / Gafford

------------------------------

NYK Gets: Caleb Martin, Naji Marshall, & Keon Ellis
NYK Gives: Mikal Bridges
Why for NYK? The Knicks move off of Bridge's expiring salary avoiding having to give him a big payday and jamming up their cap situation. As compensation, they get an excellent 3&D 25 year old SG who immediately slots in as a starter next to Brunson. Ellis can easily take the more difficult PG or SG matchup every night allowing Brunson to conserve energy. They also get another solid, versatile forward in Marshall who furthers their defensive identity, can handle the rock, pass, and score for them. Martin give them another bench wing/forward who can do a little bit of everything. In a nutshell, they replace Bridges with a starting level 3&S SG, but they also add more depth to give them a chance at contending for a title (McBride, Clarkson, Martin, Marshall, & Robinson is a MUCH better bench than they had last year).

PG - Brunson / McBride / Kolek
SG - Ellis / Clarkson / Dadiet
SF - Hart / Martin
PF - Anunoby / Marshall / Yabusele
C - Towns / Robinson / Hukporti

------------------------------

SAC Gets: Mikal Bridges, Dwight Powell, & Olivier Maxence-Prosper
SAC Gives: DeMar DeRozan & Keon Ellis
Why for SAC? The Kings do this to get the best player in the deal and replace DeRozan with a younger, longer, more athletic, better shooting, better defending wing in hopes of improving the chemistry of their team. Losing Ellis hurts, but getting Bridges could be worth it if he can be retained. Plus moving Ellis helps clear our log jam at guard and gives us a guard rotation of Schroder, LaVine, Monk, & Carter. Powell gives them some extra depth at C considering Valanciunas was shipped out and Prosper gives them a low risk swing on a young forward to see if he can develop a 3&D game someday.

PG - Schroder / Monk
SG - LaVine / Carter / Davis
SF - Bridges / Clifford / Prosper
PF - Murray / Jones / Raynaud / Saric
C - Sabonis / Powell / Eubanks

Is there any type of way the Kings can get Josh Giddy I'm not the biggest fan (kind of think he only plays well when then season is over/nothing to play for), he's still out there , why would the Kings not try sign him for a bit more money than waste it on Dennis? I know he's asking for 30per but I would offer him 22m-24m range, a pass first PG who is elite at rebounding at his size. at 23...instead they got Dennis and tried to get Kuminga...

I'm not sure he wants to be in the state of California.
