Do the Bucks have a first before they trade Giannis?
They don’t really have a tradeable pick until 2030Do the Bucks have a first before they trade Giannis?
Wow, Phoenix has so little draft capital it's comical. They have three seconds ('26 probably-PHI; '29 PHX; '32 worst-of-PHX/HOU) and they can SWAP one "actual" first ('32 PHX) and put YET ANOTHER swap on three already b.s. firsts ('27 worst-of-CLE/MIN/UTA; '28 worst-of-BKN/NYK/WAS/PHI/PHX; '30 worst-of-WAS/MEM/PHX).
Expirings, young players, and draft capital all day babayyyy!
The Pelicans apparently offered them the trade that the Hawks bit on that essentially gifted Atlanta a top 5 pick next season but the Suns were so hellbent on taking Maluach that they passed on it and now have no picks for the foreseeable futureWow, Phoenix has so little draft capital it's comical. Washington (why would they do this?) could at least get their way into the discussion, but Phoenix looks kinda dead in the water.
Why? Dudes not on our timeline at all?Daniel Gafford would be a good get
I dont want to give up on Sabonis. I'd try to trade Lavine first.
Lavine for Dejounte Murray and Herb Jones works in the trade machine
Besides sarr who would we want back? They have old guy and a few young guys that replicate what we already have. No wings. It would be a pure salary dump
Yep, I've done a 180 on Russ. One guy I want young players to watch and see what it takes in the league is Russ. Never gives up and always hustling.
I mean just watch them both play. Cousins had a dozen moves he could go to. Taking guys off the dribble, squaring up, bully ball. Watching Sabonis its pretty clear his offensive bag is extremely limited. Amazing rebounder/put back guy, bully ball, but really doesn't have any "go-to moves"I'll wait for the statistical argument that Cousins was a better player than Sabonis. There's not much to grab onto there. I've looked.
"Talent" here, however we measure that, means very little when the on-court production doesn't match the picture in our heads.
Id say at minimum 1 but more likely 2 of our wins are due to Russ.Russ is the only reason to watch this team right now. He's great, and he's not helping them win. It's perfect.
He's also playing well enough someone will trade for him that thinks he can play on their playoff roster. Even a 2nd round pick is just gravy.

Wizards!?!
I’d be down for Trae if we draft Boozer, AJ, Peterson, or Wilson we’d still need a pg and he could set them up well especially the two bigs
Yes. To anyone but DetroitI saw something suggesting Knicks might be interested in Schröder. But also that they may want DiVincenzo back.
Is the 15th the date we can move Dennis?
@Capt. Factorial
Can you confirm if "doesn't really have any go-to moves" is a statistic that proves Boogie was better than Domas?
Domas has made his entire career on being an amazing rebounder and a great facilitator while being a second option on the scoring end. Scoring is not the only way that a player can contribute.I mean not having a go to move is the reason he’s just a rebounder in the playoffs or play-in

Arguing that Domas sucks because he's not a primary scorer with a go-to move is like arguing that Dennis Rodman sucked. There are a lot of aspects to the game, and Domas absolutely dominates the ones that he is good at. And when he DOES shoot, he scores very efficiently.
I don't know why this is so hard.
So raw numbers are the only judgement for a player?@Capt. Factorial

Unlike rodman, sabonis is a below average defender and a guy who demands touches.Like Rodman Sabonis shouldn’t be a top two player on your team unless you have play-in aspirations
He also had terrible touch, low IQ and terrible shot selection and teammates hated playing with him , Cousins had no go to moves either it's why his FG% was bad for a big. The Kings also won a similar amount of games when they replaced Cousins with a way past his prime Zbo.I mean just watch them both play. Cousins had a dozen moves he could go to. Ill never understand people defending sabonis the way they do. Great king, will go down as a fan favorite. But we can be honest about the player he is. Defensive liability, non existent as a rim protector, great rebounder, great screen setter, not a guy you give the ball to when you need a bucket.
We all watched the warriors series where a coach's answer to sabonis was to play him 1v1 and sag off using kevon looney. That simple coaching decision broke the kings offense and rendered the dho useless. Sabonis forced the issue drawing offensive fouls and turnovers. We suddenly turned into an iso ball team of fox/monk taking turns.
We can respect and appreciate sabonis game and contribution to the Kings, without forcing him to be a guy he wasnt. This year was further evidence that without building the system around him perfectly, he struggles immensely offensively.
I chalk it up to half the fan base upset at fox so turned to the well sabonis is our best guy anyways. Soon sabonis will get traded and the reality will set in with these folks.
you summed it up nicely here. Kings are paying him 40+ million to be a elite rebounder and screen setter while being a subpar offensive player. context really is the key ingredient here. Shai aka FTA wouldn't be a top 5 player, let alone an MVP in any other era
