If someone slips down that low then they dropped for a reason and probably aren't worth the risk. I.e.: Marcus Williams from a couple years ago.

Often, but sometimes there are just occasional collective brain farts. remember a couple of years back when Danny Granger slipped and slipped and nearly fell all the way to us and I was thinking just move up to get him...instead we held our ground and got Cisco.

Pessimicm be damned. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but what the heck? I'm used to disappointment. As a Kings fan and a 49ers fan to boot, I'm actually lost when there's nothing to be disappointed about.

:p
Well, at least with the 49ers we have 5 Championships and a dynasty to fall back on. :D

Sometimes, but not always. Rondo, Pierce, Rashard Lewis and Granger are four players who come to mind who slipped past where they were supposed to be drafted.

Sometimes team's pass on players because they draft need over talent. Sometimes not anticipating the drop, teams haven't worked out a player and are nervous about taking someone they haven't worked out. Sometimes in their workouts they fall in love with a certain player and just follow their guts. A lot can happen to make a good player drop.
