We have been having this debate around town and I thought I would bring it here for all of us to enjoy. Which Hawaiian treat would you rather eat?

Personally, I prefer Spam to Poi... I find poi a bit like mashed potatoes with battery acid... Spam is salty, smoky and delicious...

I've tried the purple paste and it is gross!!!!!

I ate a lot of fried spam as a kid. Got no problem with it, especially on toast with some lettuce and tomato.

I have only had spam once in my life that I am aware of - I was maybe 5-6 years old at the time but I distinctly remember the can and my mom cooking it - nothing more than that. I wandered into this thread last week and made the serious mistake of clicking on the video - I cannot get that song out of my head now...which may add a whole new dimension to my feelings about the product...

Oooh, nothing wrong with the song...just that I have spent the last 3-4 days with it in my head is all....it's catchy like that.

I grew up with the Python Spam comedy bit and well, this song is well, catchier...in a permanently seared in my brain sorta sense of "catchy"

My uncle makes diced Spam pizza (quite good) and I have also had Spam and eggs at grandma's a number of times (also, quite good). I have also had it fried (it was so-so)
