Earlier I was thinking it was all a fantasy and getting excited would only end up in my dissapointment.

However, looking at what other teams have to offer Im getting excited again.

So According to that we have Boston, Golden State, Charlotte, Indiana, and us as the strong players.

For one, I really do not see them trading to an eastern conference playoff "contender." So that really axes Indiana and Boston...As for Indiana, I really can't see Philly taking on Stephan Jackson and all his issues.

Iverson already nixed Charlotte, so they are out.

And that leaves us and Golden State...If it comes down to a battle between Bibby or Baron, I think you have to go Bibby.

You go from AI to Baron you really don't address anything...YOu go from dominating ballhog to dominating ballhog...Plus you get Baron's max season of about 52 games...With Bibb you get the Webb/Bibby combo, and the fact he is a more "true" PG, especially following Iverson.

I think he is ours for the taking!

I agree! If I was Billy King I would go for Bibby.

Hmm... A. Iverson, R. Artest, plus role players.....could be like a poor-mans M. Jordan, S. Pippen plus role players.

I'm actually getting excited about the Iverson talk.

Iverson
Martin
Artest
Sar/Thomas
Miller

This will open up Martin's whole entire game!!!

I wonder if I was at Bibby's last game as a King (vs Hawks)?

That would at least make it memorable. I'd be sad to see him go.

Um...Forlorn. That is just wishful thinking. And I say that as a guy who has watched Iverson for a long time. Kevin might be able to maintain his high efficiency numbers, but A.I. doesn;t "open up" anybody's game. Kevin is jsut a roleplayer if this goes down.

Kevin's only averaging like 13 shots per game, even if we got AI I don't really see much of his shots going away. Probably 3-4, but if he's scoring 20 on 13 than I would still be perfectly happy with 15-17 PPG on 9-10 which I think is capable for him.

This is mine. A whole lot of offense in your front court you won't utilize at all. Ron + Martin + AI = All the shots.

That does make it easier to move them however. Maybe even get a 1st round pick next year if we move it when moving those pieces.

AI seems like a desperation move. With all the former sixers I'm a lot more worried about team dynamcis than I was with the Artest trade.

Although, winning is great for team dynamics. Maybe AI has a Bonzi effect, we get a lot tougher, the doubles on AI open up Kevin.

???

argh. i shold go to sleep. I'm going to be preoccupied with this all day tomorrow.

i would hate to see mike go. after all he's been through with this franchise.

completely agree, but I also would love to see him paired up with Webber again though...

Bibby will always be a Sacramento King in my book. But I think if Iverson could come to Sac, i really think it could help with keeping this team here in Sacramento. That is the main reason why I am for this.

Its not going to happen, i would totally be shocked if it did. The only reason the sixers would do a deal with us is because bibby might opt out leaving them with a expiring contract. But i don't think they would do that because they would really would need a young pg for the future with iverson gone. And also I don't think a deal could be mean't with out martin being involved who the kings will not give up. I don't understand why they would deal with us?

With them trading Iverson that would mean they are rebuilding, bibby at the age of 28 is not a player u tend to rebuild with. And with a team wanting to go in a different direction, I don't think trading for a player who is basically the lesser vision of iverson would make much sense that would get them no where. I really don't see the sixers taking the Kings route by trading for bibby and rebuilding half way, they are fully going into rebuilding mold. In my opinion the top 3 teams in the chase for Iverson is Minn, Boston, and chi town. Both boston and chi town have a boat load of young talent to offer for Iverson but Minn has Foye which the sixers have been after since the draft and KG wants iverson bad.

If i had to choose a team that iverson will end up in i would say Minn. I don't think Chi will be willing to break up their young squad for a run at the finals for 2 or 3 years. The same goes with Boston which will mean the end of Pierce in Boston, i think he will be in Iverson's situation in the future. I think a deal with Minn would include Foye, R.Davis and other pieces.

They are not rebuilding.... Iverson asked to be traded.
