Playoffs or high draft picks?

I am stating that we should not treat opinions like facts. You're smarter than that. You understood what I meant.

yet perception is reality. the whole point of a message board is to argue about opinions. people treat opinions as facts precisely because they believe that it is so, a lot like faith (you believe it, others may not). would it please you if every started their responses with an "i feel that" or "in my opinion." it's understood that it's an opinion.

btw, i can do without your extra commentary. i don't need the whole "you're smarter than that" sh*t. oh, sorry. in my opinion, that is.

There's a difference between believing an opinion is right and believing an opinion is fact.

that's just your opinion. :p

let's just leave it at people who argue on here believe that they are right. everything else is semantics.

Yea, I'm nitpicking a little with the semantics, but there is a subtle, yet significant difference. The rest of your post I agree with though.

And the youngsters that will lead us to the promised land are who? Douby is getting minutes and doesn't seem to fit in any better than the ill-fitting vets. Watkins and Williams I suspect are getting the minutes they are earning in practice...
The disconnect for me comes where your argument seems to hang on the belief that we shouldn't play these kids because they aren't going to "lead us to the promised land," whereas I don't think that the "promised land" should be the objective, not in the short term, at any rate. The objective to see whether or not Quincy Douby and Justin Williams and Francisco Garcia can be a part of this team going forward, to see whether or not they are, or should be, a part of the future of this team. I doubt that anybody thinks that Justin Williams is going to be a star; we don't need him to be a star.

Some people just aren't good practice players, and what they do in practice should not be seen as irrefutable empirical evidence of what they will or will not be able to contribute in an actual game; at some point, the coach should put the kids in a real game, and see what they can do. I mean, seriously, playing Justin Williams over Kenny Thomas and Mikki Moore is not going to make the difference between winning and losing. And here's the point: we don't know whether Williams and Douby will or should be a part of the Kings' future going forward, but we do know (or certainly should know, in my opinion) that in absolutely no way should Thomas or Abdur-Rahim or Moore be.

so you are suggesting...we just come to this board to post facts?

No, silly. You come to this board to worship me and agree with my every word. And I must say you haven't been doing a very good job lately.
