They mentioned on TNT that the two teams have only met once in the playoffs, and Golden State won. So... yeah... go Spurs. Remember the Alamo(dome)!

Cosigned. The defensive prowess of George/Hibbert and Allen/Gasol is something to behold.
Plus, to paraphrase a joke from Chris Rock, if ABC got Memphis/Indiana for the Finals, the president of the network would jump out a window, and slit his throat on the way down.

Golden State clearly is the better team in my opinion in this series, who would of thunk it. I picked SA to win in 5, silly me. San Antonio will not win either game up in Oracle, that place is going to be rockin!! PS; they have three rookies getting playoff time in the semifinals, face it...being young is not an excuse anymore these days it seems for teams except for the Kings.
Yeah, this level of combined shooting prowess from the Warriors' backcourt is fairly unprecedented. If there was a team that could figure out a strategy to stop them it would be one of Chicago, San Antonio or Memphis. Of course Miami could just put James on Curry and Wade on Thompson but that hardly needs a genius of a coach to implement.

it's this shot:
conventionally, you would meet the ball handler somewhere at the freethrow line, but with Steph, you have to meet him at the three-point line. no big can really comfortably go out that far. you have to radically alter your defensive strategy and probably go ultra-small to really counter that and nobody wants that. very fascinating.

Not a warriors fan at all, but I might pay the 280 (ticket, gas, parking, food) and drive the 80 miles to take in game 6, I miss being in a playoff basketball environment

Spurs finish it in Oakland in 6 games, 4-2. They now move on to the Western Conference Finals against Memphis.

Curry sure came back to earth following that 44 pt explosion opening Ws win at San Antonio. After that dude was rather pedestrian averaging 18 per game and bricking under 40% over next five games.

i've said it in a couple of threads, but you take away his jump shot, and he doesn't have a reliable path to the basket, which is essential in the playoffs. it's why i prefer slashers of tyreke evans' ilk over jump shooters like steph curry. he's on his way to absolute stardom in the nba, but his success in the playoffs will more than likely be predicated on the warriors' ability to establish a consistent presence in the paint. a healthy david lee actually might have made all the difference in this series...
I have much respect for the Spurs: I think that Pop is a great coach, and Duncan is one of my Top 3 favorite players, but I'm in the tank for Memphis for the duration.
