The Lakers without Kobe are not impressive. Watching the Spurs, they're not even playing all out. They look like they still have another gear. Mike D'Antoni is not going to be able to get the job done.

To their credit, the Lakers played pretty good D. But I agree with you on the Spurs - they look like they can still kick it up a notch. That said, Pau Gasol has been playing very well of late, and the Lakers just might be able to steal a game or two.

The Lakers suffered a 120-89 rout in Staples to leave them one game away from being swept out of the playoffs in the first round. Granted, injuries have really taken their toil on the Lakers, but very few NBA fans thought they'd make it to the WCF at any rate. Game 4 on Sunday could be the end of the season for the Lakers. Series 3-0 Spurs.

Yeah, I'm sure whoever approved that is going to be in the unemployment line first thing in the morning. :p

this is what happens when the refs help you into the playoffs and you dont deserve to be there

Let's be fair. The team on the court at Staples tonight is NOT the same Laker team. No Kobe Bryant, no Steve Blake, no Steve Nash. That's a huge hit for any team to take, made worse when their entire playbook is filled with "get the ball to Kobe."

Best play the Lakers made this post-season was sending Kobe, on crutches, to the bench after an embarrassing D12 was booted.

In the words of Dandy Don Meredith, "turn out the lights, the party's over..."

Special award to Dwight Howard for finding a way to leave early.

Pau Gasol showing a lot of class in congratulating the Spurs and talking to Duncan.

spinning.. lol. On the bright side we may very well have just seen the last of T Mac in this series.

Why would that be the bright side? I mean, I'm enjoying a laugh at McGrady's expense, but I hope he still has something in the tank. As a matter of fact, I hope he still has a forty-point game left in him, and I hope it comes in Game 5 against the Heat.

Unless, of course, Celt meant "this series" literally, in which case... whoosh?

Well to begin with I hope the Heat somehow don't even make it to the finals, but hell yeah that'd be great! I was similarly laughing at T-Mac for his playoff woes. As for Dwight and his T's ... guess Cousins isn't the only one with "mental issues" eh? I'm glad that this series exposed Dwight for the overpaid diva that he is. He is not a franchise cornerstone.
