Celtics' age might cause the tank to run out quicker than anticipated. Celtics' experience, on the other hand, will take this series to a game 7.
 
the Celtics have massive trouble scoring on the Knicks and that's unlikely to change. their bench is toothless* and their starters are showing their age badly. Green helps, but once the Knicks started targeting him in the 2nd half, he couldn't do anything either. the Knicks basically played without Tyson Chandler in the 2nd half and they destroyed the Celtic's offense. if that's not a worrying sign, what is?


*sidenote: they really have no idea what to do with Jason Terry, it's insane. that guy used to be an excellent scorer and pick-and-roll threat, now he's a bad spot-up shooter. either his game has suddenly fallen off a cliff or Doc Rivers has no idea how to use him properly.0
 
Today was the first time I have seen the Knicks play in maybe...a few years. I am usually fairly cynical of almost everything they do, but today was pretty impressive. Credit to Mike Woodsen.

The Celtics will fight and make it as hard as they can make it...but they are essentially irrelevent from here out. I guess over the past few seasons they have been slowly loosing both on and off the court and now are just a shell of the championship team of a few years ago. Interesting to see what happens next.
 
In the Celtics' defense, they are missing Rondo. While I do believe that NY is the better team, Boston isn't the same team w/o their PG.
 
The Celtics are, along with the Lakers, in peril of being swept out of the first round of the playoffs. As Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks said, "Guys are hungry. We really want this." The same hunger just isn't apparent in the Celtics. Game 4 tips off on Sunday. Series 3-0 Knicks
 
Boston was able to hold off the Knicks and avoid the sweep. Knicks lead 3-1 and they head back to New York for game 5.

I can't believe an individual is so tasteless and classless. I truly hope the Boston Celtics come back and win this series. And for some measure of revenge, they could attempt to put Kenyon Martin out of service, without actually putting him out of service (i.e. a hard, but not flagrant, foul). Never liked the guy to begin with. Always thought he was a cocky little chump.

really? you think it's that bad? why? it was dumb, clearly, but tasteless? I see it more as a bad idea gone even more wrong by them losing the game and giving Boston even more bulletin board material to use. Crawford's taunting at the end of the game or Royce White's twitter bashing of Durant strike me as more tasteless, to bring up two examples of just these playoffs.
 
Congratulations to the Knicks, who face the Pacers in round 2. And meanwhile, the Celtics will most likely go into complete rebuild mode.
