Longtime limited shotblocking roleplayer who arrived with the Kings at the end of the string as a trade throw in. Even in his prime was never good at much beyond the shotblocking, lacking offensive skills or bulk on the boards. But by the time he arrived with the Kings he had not been a rotation player in years, and would play only 55 total minutes before calling it a career.

College and Pre Kings Career
Booth played all 4 years at Penn State, and blocked 428 shots in collegiate career, along the way becoming Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year during his junior season. He was selected by the Wizards in the 2nd round (pick #35) of the 1999 draft, and launched upon a lengthy journeyman career most noted for several large contracts he signed that should never have been offered. Counting the Kings he played for 7 teams in 9 NBA seasons, and never averaged more than 6.2pts in any season.

Post NBA Career
After a year spent scouting for the New Orleans Hornets, in June of 2013 it was announced that Booth would be joining the front office of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Michael Bradley

An athletically limited and slightly undersized journeyman who's one NBA skill may have been rebounding, Bradley never really had a chance to establish anything in Sacramento, arriving in a trade in January 2005, and being shipped out in another trade (the infamous Webber "flexible pieces" trade) a month later in February 2005.

College and Pre Kings Career
Bradley began his college career at Kentucky for his first two seasons, and then after sitting for a year in order to transfer, had a starring turn at Villanova as a senior, averaging 20.8pts and 9.8rebs and being named 2nd Team All America.

It was a good enough performance to convince the Toronto Raptors to select him in the first round (#17 overall) of the 2001 draft. After barely playing as a rookie, Bradley briefly emerged during his second season as a rotation big, averaging 5.0pts and 6.1reb in 19.6min a game on the year. But he was never able to build on that success and began rapidly bouncing around the league from end of the bench to end of the bench, and would never average more than 1.8pts/gm in any other season.

Post Kings Career
Philadelphia would be Bradley's final NBA stop after the trade which brought him there. He was not retained after the 2005-06 season, and left the NBA for good.

Post NBA Career
Bradley enjoyed a modest international career after leaving the NBA, playing for 4 years for clubs in a variety of European countries before retiring in 2010. He now coaches high school basketball in Cincinatti.

Mike Bratz

A veteran journeyman reserve PG, Bratz was signed midseason of the Kings first season in Sacramento to replace Michael Adams as the Kings 3rd PG (they even gave him Adams jersey #). He would play a very limited role the remainder of the season behind Reggie Theus and Larry Drew, averaging 2.1pts in 8.2min a game of action. His NBA career ended after he was waived during training camp of 1986.

College and Pre Kings Career
After transferring from a local community college, Bratz played his final three years at Stanford, averaging 19.6pts as a senior.

He was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the 3rd rnd of the 1977 draft, would later be taken from the Suns by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1980 expansion draft, and played for 6 teams over his 8 year career.

Post NBA Career
Bratz became a longtime NBA assistant coach, including spending 7 years in two different stints with the Kings. After transferring to front office work, and working with Kings GM Pete D'Alesandro in Denver, in June of 2013 Bratz was named Assistant General Manager of the Kings.

Randy Breuer

Aging specialist at being tall joined Kings for his final NBA season. While he once could block a shot at 7'3", and had a little hook, he was done by the time he reached the Kings and averaged all of 0.7pts 2.2reb in 26 games on the season.

College and Pre Kings Career
Breuer played 4 years at Minnesota, and was a college star with his length, averaging 20.4pts 8.9reb 3.0blks as a senior. He was drafted by the Bucks in the 1st round (#18 overall) and became part of Don Nelson's "three headed center" in Milwaulkee (along with Paul Mokeski and Alton Lister) before being traded to the expansion Minnesota Timberwolves, and then passing through Atlanta before landing with the Kings. Although mostly a backup who averaged 6.8pts in 18.4min a game over his career, he did accumulate 285 platoon starts over his 10 years in the league.

Post NBA Career
Breuer has taken the term retirement seriously, and spent his post NBA years pheasant hunting and volunteering as an assistant high school basketball coach.

Aaron Brooks

A quick but small and scrawny shoot first PG, Brooks was rumored to be a longtime favorite of Geoff Petrie's who the Kings finally got a shot at after Brooks was trying to reestablish himself in the NBA after a year spent playing in China. After a big 2009-10 career season, Brooks' career had rapidly fallen on hard times as his lack of pure PG instincts and size held him back. With the Kings Brooks shared the backcourt with a bevy of guards all looking for their own shots in Isaiah Thomas, Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton, and Jimmer Fredette, and was asked to play more of a roleplayer role. While he seemed to play well alongside Evans, and briefly took the starting PG spot away from Isaiah Thomas, he was rumored not to be popular in the locker room, Thomas resented his starting, and he was waived just after the trade deadline.

College and Pre-Kings Career
Brooks stayed all 4 years at Oregon, earning 3rd Team All American honors as a senior. He was taken by the Rockets with the 26th pick in the 2007 Draft (the Kings' Geoff Petrie was also rumored to be interested even at that early date).

After a promising but erratic start in the league as a reserve, Brooks got his opportunity when Rockets starting PG Rafer Alston was dealt at the deadline in 2009, leaving Brooks as the starter. During the 2009-10 season Brooks' bombing ways allowed him to lead the NBA in both 3pt takes and makes, and to win the NBA Most Improved Player award. That would be the highlight season of his career, as his shoot first play and lack of size and defense became issues, and after a slow start to the next season he was dealt to Phoenix, and ended up out of the NBA and playing a full season in China during the 2012-13 lockout season.

Post Kings Career
Since leaving the Kings Brooks has resumed a journeyman career, filling in for Houston, Denver, and now signed with Chicago for the 2014-15 season.

Bobby Brown

Another in the endless parade of undersized college scoring guards needing to learn how to run a team, Brown was a good athlete and considered a player to keep an eye on coming off a strong European season and summer league, but in the end fell into the normal tweener guard trap. He never could prove he could be efficient with his perimeter oriented offense at the NBA level, nor that he could make teammates better, and after half a year with a smattering of strong performances, he was added to a trade to bring back a slightly larger and more prolific young gunning guard in Rashad McCants.

College and Pre-Kings Career
Brown was a 4 year starter at Cal State Fullerton and gradually got more efficient with his scoring, capping things with a 20.2pt 5.1ast on .468 shooting senior season. It was not quite enough to get him drafted however, and so he headed to Europe for a very successful season in Germany. After a strong summer league followup, he was pursued by several teams and signed with the Kings.

Post Kings Career
Brown really took it on the chin with the league's trading rules. In the space of a year he was traded by the Kings to the Wolves, the Wolves to the Hornets, and the Hornets to the Clippers. He was never able to establish himself with any of them (probably was having trouble just remembering all the names) and left back for the comparative sanity of the European basketball world.

Post NBA Career
While he's made a few stabs at returning to the NBA, Brown had largely settled back into a European basketball career, playing with teams in Poland, Greece, Germany and Italy, before spending the 2013-14 season in China, where he scored 74 points in one overtime game, one off the CBA record held by another former King, Quincy Douby.

Chucky Brown

Saavy veteran roleplayer picked up midseason to add experience for the Kings 2001-02 playoff push, Brown had played for nearly half the teams in the league -- the Kings were his 12th team. A defensive minded player with limited skills who never added the "3" to become a "3 and D" guy, for years Brown was tapped for his experience and veteran saavy, but just as quickly replaced by more talented personnel. This pattern eventually helped power the amusing myth of the "Chucky Brown Curse" (see below). The eternal journeyman career finally ended after the Kings also chose not to retain him at the end of the 2001-02 season.

College and Pre Kings Career
Brown played his college ball at North Carolina State before being taken in the 2nd round of the 1989 draft by the Cavaliers. He would play 2 1/2 seasons for them in a platoon part time starter role before launching on his journeyman career in earnest. Over the next 10 years he would only stay with one team for more than 1 season (the Houston Rockets, for whom he actually started all 82 games in 1995-96).

Post NBA Career
After retiring from the NBA after his final Kings season, Brown went into coaching, eventually becoming a head coach for the NBDL's Los Angeles Defenders.

The Chucky Brown Curse
Dessiminated by The Chucky Brown Fan Club (yes there was one of those too), the Chucky Brown Curse, aka the Curse of Chucky (like the horror movie) was the legend that useful as Chucky Brown might have been as a roleplayer, he could be far more devastating to you if you did not retain him, as his karma would seek revenge and cause bad things to happen to his former teams. A typical connection supporting the idea of a curse would be the defending champion San Antonio Spurs releasing Chucky in February of 2000...only to see Tim Duncan get injured just before the 2000 playoffs, and the Spurs getting knocked out in the first round. For the Kings, who brought Chucky in for their 2001-02 playoff run, it would be noted that after letting Chucky go that summer their roster was wracked with injuries to key personnel all season long in 2002-03, culminating with Chris Webber blowing out his knee in the playoffs and the team getting eliminated by Dallas.

Rodney Buford

Athletic scoring oriented swingman who didn't offer much else. Spent most of the 2003-04 season bouncing onto and off of the end of the end of the Kings roster and bench. Was signed as a free agent, waived in December, resigned to a couple of 10 day contracts in February, and finally picked back up for the rest of the season. On the year only averaged 6.4min and 1.9pts/gm, but was suddenly forced into action in Game 7 of the Kings 2nd round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves after Anthony Peeler got himself suspended for the final game. The Kings lost the series.

College and Pre Kings Career
Buford was a 4 year high scoring starter at little Creighton University, and the Miami Heat took him with a late 2nd round pick (#53) in the 1999 draft. He would play for a new team each year of his 5 yr NBA career. His best season was 2001-02 when he averaged 9.4pts and started 21 games for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Post Kings Career
After leaving the Kings Buford would play his final season in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets, averaging 7.0pts a game, but on only .382 shooting.

Post NBA Career
Buford embarked on a lengthy but troubled post-NBA career in the NBDL and Europe. Three times he failed FIBA drug tests, he was released from one team for disciplinary reasons, and had his contract dissolved by his German team when he simply failed to return from Christmas vacation in the States. Most recently he was playing in the National Basketball League of Canada.

Burns played all 4 years at Maryland, and was a productive starter the last two, averaging 18.5pts and 8.9reb as a senior.

Post NBA Career
After his year with the Kings, Burns played professionally for another 6 years in various minor leagues and for international teams scattered around the globe. Since retiring he has coached basketball at the high school and community college level.

Rick Calloway

A waiver wire pickup after he failed to make it out of the Spurs training camp in 1990, Calloway was a long but skinny young shooting guard with an indifferent skillset and no three point range who caught on with the Kings for their entire massive rebuilding 1990-91 season. He averaged 3.2pts on the year and was not retained.

College and Pre-Kings Career
Calloway played his first 3 college seasons at Indiana, and was a teammate of future Kings coach Keith Smart when they won the national championship in 1987. He transferred to Kansas, sitting out a year before an indifferent senior season in which he averaged 13.1pts/gm, less than he had as a freshman. He went undrafted, but signed a training camp deal with the Spurs. He was waived before the end of camp, opening the door for the Kings to acquire him.

Post NBA Career
Calloway never made it back into the NBA, spending some time in the CBA and playing in Poland and Argentina before calling it a career. Today he owns a swimming pool company in the Houston area.

Antoine Carr
Born: July 23, 1961

Nicknamed "Big Dog", Carr was a hulking man with a scary scowl, but did not have the game of a brute. While he had some post game, his best weapon was a facing jumper, and while he could block a shot, he was not quick to the ball and was a poor rebounder. He was certainly willing to lay the lumber on you and foul with authority however. After being acquired mid-season in the 1989-90 season the Kings relied on him as a goto guy to a much greater degree than the Hawks had previously, and during the 1990-91 season he was one of the few veterans retained for the Kings complete teardown rebuilding season, resulting in him leading the young team in scoring with by far the highest scoring season of his career (20.1pts/gm). As a reward, he was traded for virtually nothing just before training camp of the next season.

College and Pre Kings Career
A very successful 4 year starter at Wichita State, Carr earned 3rd Team All America honors his senior season when he averaged 22.6pts and 7.6reb. He attracted the attention of the NBA, and was selected #8 overall in the 1983 draft by the Detroit Pistons. A contract dispute however saw Carr forego the NBA in his first year as a pro, and instead play in Europe. Detroit was forced to trade him to Atlanta, and when Carr returned he started his career with the Hawks, where he was part of a strong bench unit on Dominique Wilkens' playoff Hawks teams.

Post Kings Career
After being traded to the Spurs, Carr returned to his familiar role as a strong 3rd big off the bench for contending teams, first backing up David Robinson in San Antonio, and then moving to the Utah Jazz and backing up Karl Malone. He was with the Jazz for both their finals appearances against the Bulls in 96-97 and 97-98.

Post NBA Career
Carr wasn't quite ready to give up basketball at the end of his NBA career, and played one season with the ABA, and one season in Greece before finally retiring altogether in 2002 at age 41. He now owns a remodeling company in San Antonio.

Omri Casspi

A long 6'9" SF who became the first Israeli to play in the NBA in 2009-10 after the Kings drafted him with the 23rd pick Casspi flashed a solid set of skills and respectable three point range, but struggled with consistency, defense, and perhaps most importantly with delusions of grandeur and questions of selfishness. Casspi has shown little growth as a player, and was unable to clearly establish himself as a starting SF despite indifferent competition. A feisty competitor, on court and off, Casspi has rarely been happy over the course of his career with his role on any team. He was traded away in 2011, but is returning now to the 2014 Kings as a minimum salary free agent.

Pre NBA Career
Casspi had a decorated career in Israel, eventually making the Euroleague Finals with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Post Kings Career
Casspi's career has stalled after leaving the Kings. While he started 35 games in his first year in Cleveland, his shooting never recovered to his rookie year levels, and by his second year in Cleveland he was deep on the bench and played in barely half the team's games. He had a bit of a bounceback season in 2013-14 as a solid bench roleplayer for the playoff bound Houston Rockets.

A fairly mobile 7'0" shotblocker, Causwell was the 3rd of the Kings historic 4 first round picks in the 1990 draft and still holds the all time Sacramento era shotblocking record with 215 blocks during his second season. Unfortunately a number of factors including bad hands, offense limited to two handed dunks, and low basketball I.Q. combined to limit his usefulness as anything other than a limited minute rim protector. Even then his shotblocking sometimes came at a price as he was known to too easily abandon rebounding position to chase blocks all over the court. After starting 77 of 80 games in the 1991-92 season and averaging 28.6min/gm, his minutes and role gradually decreased over his 7 years with the Kings until he averaged only 12.6min and 2.6pts in his final season with the before being traded.

College
Causwell left Temple University after his third season to enter the draft.

Post Kings Career
After the trade to Miami, Causwell would stay in the league for another 4 years for Pat Riley's Heat as a 3rd string C/emergency Alonzo Mourning backup.

Post NBA Career
Causwell has largely disappeared into the ether since his retirement, although in 2009 it was briefly announced that he would be teaming with a producer to create a basketball related reality TV show called "America's Top Baller".

Pete Chilcutt

A 6'10" early "stretch 4", Pete "Chilidog" Chilcutt had a baby face and a babysoft game through most of his Kings tenure (during his final half season he would grow a goatee and noticeably try to toughen up on the boards). Weak on the glass and lacking physicality on defense for a 90s era big man, Chilcutt was an excellent mid to long range shooter but did not extend that range out beyond the three point line until after he left the Kings.

College
Chilcutt stayed all 4 years at North Carolina, and did not even break into double figures until his senior year. North Carolina's good name was still enough to get him drafted in the first round.

Post Kings Career
Detroit waived Chilcutt just before training camp the season after the trade from Sacramento. He would be picked up by Houston, later traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies, and round out his career bouncing from team to team in his final year of 1999-00. He never did equal the very modest production he gave the Kings in his final two years in Sacramento, and in an 8 year career averaged only 4.3pts a game.

Post NBA Career
Chilcutt took an unusual road for a retired NBAer, and became a 6th grade math and science teacher in Folsom, CA.

Long bouncy stringbean shotblocker unexpectedly scooped up by the Kings in the halcyon summer of 2002 as the Kings loaded up on veteran talent to make a title run. Clark's main role was to replace Scot Pollard as the 3rd big while Pollard was out with back surgery for most of the year, and he proved to be one of the best shotblockers of the Sacramento era, and a key part of the Kings' league leading 2002-03 defense. Unfortunately Webber's knee injury in the playoffs ended the title dream, the Maloofs began to financially retrench that summer after the all out spending spree, and Clark's long term issues with alcohol and marijuana were undoubtedly an issue in the decision to dump him off to the Jazz in a salary dumping trade after only 1 year with the team.

College and Pre-Kings Career
Clark passed through 2 junior colleges before getting together enough academic material to pass muster at UNLV, where he played his final two years. He was taken in the 1st round (#13 overall) of the 1998 Draft and traded to Orlando in January, just before the start of the strike shortened '98-99 season. He spent his first 4 years in the NBA in Denver and Toronto as a major bench player/part time starter, and was coming off his best season (11.3pts 7.4reb 1.5blk in 81 games, including 31 starts) before he was scooped up by the Kings after contract negotiations stalled between he and the Raptors.

Post Kings Career
Coming off a successful season with one of the best teams in the NBA, Clark's personal problems abruptly overwhelmed him and he was pretty much done in the NBA. He only played 2 games for Utah, was traded to Phoenix, and never played a game for them as his career was done.

Post NBA Career
Clark went on to a colorful post NBA career in drugs and petty crime, and in December of 2013 was sentenced to 8 years in prison for weapons charges.

Former college star who's only trait that translated effectively to the NBA was his enthusiasm. Had an awkward windup on his jumper, limited range, and was turnover prone. On the other hand, from the end of the bench was a preeminent towel waver and cheerleader for the best Kings teams in history, and was invited to be there when Chris Webber's number was hoisted into the rafters in 2009.

College and Pre Kings Career
Was a major college star and leader for Michigan State, captaining the team and becoming a three time All American, while also winning the 2000 NCAA title and being named Outstanding Player of the Final Four.

He was taken in the first round (#14 overall) of the 2000 Draft by the Pistons, but struggled for them and never looked like the same player in the NBA that he had in college. He was traded away to the Kings after only 1 year in the league.

Post Kings Career
Cleaves bounced in and out of the D-League while getting cups of coffee with Cleveland and Seattle, but never was able to establish himself as a longterm fixture in the NBA and played his last NBA game in 2006.

Post NBA Career
After a few more years spent moving between the NDBL and Europe while trying to get another shot in the NBA, Cleaves finally hung up the sneakers for good in 2009.

After basketball Cleaves started managing a hip hop artist and got into the music business, while also doing basketball analysis for CBS and a local channel in Detroit.

Skinny journeyman PG who arrived in Sacramento for the chaos of the 1990-91 rebuilding year. Never much of a passer or defender, for the Kings he didn't score either and only player 19 games on the year before being let go.

College and Pre Kings Career
A 4yr player at New Mexico State who had a strong 19.5ppg senior season that led to him being drafted in the 2nd rnd (#33 overall) of the 1984 draft by the Portland Trailblazers. The Blazers experimented with him as a parttime starter during his first couple of seasons before he was moved to the Bulls, Sixers and Bullets in rapid succession, never averaging more than 8.7pts during any season before coming to the Kings.

Post Kings Career
After not sticking with the Kings, Colter spent 3 years in the basketball wilderness playing in the CBA and Croatia before getting one final shot at the NBA with the Cavaliers in 1994-95. He retired at the end of the 1995 season and returned to his hometown of Phoenix.

Bad athlete with a body that didn't look like it belonged anywhere near an NBA court. Defensively it was hopeless, and yet Conlon carved out an 8 year journeyman career largely because he just knew how to play and seemed to have a nose for the ball and knack for being in the right place at the right time.

College and Pre-Kings Career
Conlon played 4 years at Providence University, reaching the Final Four as a freshman under Rick Pitino, and emerging as a solid if unspectacular starter his final 3 years. He went undrafted, was actually in the Kings 1990-91 training camp before being waived on the final day, and after spending time in France and the CBA did not begin his NBA career until a year later with the Sonics.

Post Kings Career
Conlon went on to a long journeyman career in the NBA, playing for 8 teams over his 8 seasons in the league. His best season was probably 1994-95 when he averaged 9.9pts 5.2reb for Milwaulkee.

Post NBA Career
After his NBA career was over, Conlon returned to Europe and played for another 5 years, not finally retiring until 2005. He also during this time served as captain of the Irish National Team.

After basketball he went to work for NBA international in New York.

Quite possibly a token gesture by the Kings in their first season in town, Cooke was a local Sacramento product (Christian Brothers High School) who played his college ball at St. Mary's, went undrafted, and then was signed as a free agent by the Kings just a month before their first Sacramento season, and released less than a month into it.

College and Pre-Kings Career
Cooke played all 4 years at St. Mary's, in his senior season teaming with fellow forward Eric Cooks to form the "Cookie Monsters" frontline for the Gaels.

Post NBA Career
After being waived by the Kings, Cooke played out the season in the CBA, and apparently called it a career and dropped out of sight.

Tyrone Corbin

Longtime veteran SF who would play 15 years in the league and passed through Sacramento for two separate seasons late in his career. A true jack of all trades player, Corbin never did become a true 3pt shooter, but otherwise could score, defend, rebound & pass, although during his second stint with the Kings he was nearing the end and had lost some of his athleticism. He was also a smart heady player valued in his late career for his veteran saavy, and who would go on to become an NBA head coach (and current Kings assistant coach).

College and Pre Kings Career
Corbin had an ok, but hardly spectacular, 4 year run at DePaul, the last 3 as a starter. During his senior season he averaged 15.9pts 8.4reb and drew enough attention that the Spurs took him in the 2nd round (#35 overall) of the 1985 draft. He quickly began his journeyman's trek, not even lasting 2 years with the Spurs and bouncing from team to team in the league (he played for 9 different teams in his 15 NBA seasons). His best seasons came with the expansion Minnesota Timberwolves in 1989-90 and 1990-91, as those early Wolves teams were starved for talent and so featured Corbin as a star. 1990-91 would be his best season in the NBA, as he put up a strong 18.0pt 7.2reb 4.2ast 2.0stl 0.6blk do it all statline that was rewarded by the Wolves by trading him away early the following season for an over the hill Thurl Bailey. He would go on to play another decade in the league, including his two stops with the Kings.

Post Kings Career
After leaving the Kings Corbin would last only half a season longer in the NBA, signing with Toronto and playing 15 games with them in the 2000-01 season before being traded at the 2001 trade deadline to the Detroit Pistons, whom promptly waived him.

Post NBA Career
After a couple of years working with NBDL players, Corbin got his front office start in 2004 as old boss Scott Layden hired him as part of the Knicks organization. From there he would jump to the Jazz and become Jerry Sloan's long time (7yr) assistant coach, before being elevated to the head coach's chair when Sloan abruptly retired in midseason 2010. Over the next 3 1/2 years Corbin would put together an 112-146 record with 1 playoff appearance before being let go after the 2013-14 season.

In June it was announced that Corbin would be rejoining the Kings franchise as an assistant coach under Mike Malone

Mike Bibby

How Departed: February 16, 2008 traded to the Hawks for Sheldon Williams, Anthony Johnson, Tyronn Lue, Lorenzen Wright, and a 2008 2nd rd pick.

Bibby ended up being the final major step toward building a championship contending team, although I'm sure many of the fans had reservations about the trade. Jason Williams was a very popular player, and he, more than any other King seemed to put the national spotlight on the team. He was a nightly occurrence on ESPN. Williams had a flare for the dramatic. Bibby on the other hand, was more reserved. He wasn't spectacular, but he was steady, and made fewer mistakes. He was also a better and more consistent shooter than Williams. He led the Kings to a 61/21 record and the Pacific Division tittle. He would also prove to be Mr. Clutch, when he hit the winning shot in game five of the Conference finals against the Lakers, and giving the Kings a three to two edge in the series. A series marred by controversy, particularly game six, which according to referee Tim Donaghy, was predetermined by the NBA. That offseason Bibby was rewarded with a seven year, 80.5 million dollar contract. In 2002/03 Bibby was hampered by injuries, and only played in 55 games. He averaged 15.9 ppg, and led the Kings to a 59/23 record, and a 2nd place finish in the Pacific Division. After beating the Jazz four game to two, they lost to the Mav's in seven, that saw Webber go down with a knee injury. The following year, Bibby had a career year averaging 18.4 ppg, and once again led the Kings to the playoffs. This time they beat the Mav's in the first round, but then lost to the Timberwolves in seven games in round two. The Kings made the playoffs with Bibby leading the team the next two years, but went out in the first round both years. By this time, Bibby was almost the last man standing, and the 2005/06 season would be his last playoff as a King. On February 16th 2008, Bibby was traded to the Atlanta Hawks.

College and Pre Kings Career:
As a freshman Bibby led Arizona to a national championship. He scored 19 points in a victory over Kentucky in the championship game. He finished third in the voting for the Wooden award that year. He was also named the Pac 10 freshman of the year, posting averages of 13.5 ppg, 5.2 apg, and 3.2 rpg. His sophmore year was even better. He was named the Pac 10 player of the year while averaging 17.2 ppg, 5.7 apg, and 3.0 rpg. After finishing his sophmore year, he opted to enter the 1998 NBA draft. He was drafted with the second pick in the draft by the Vancouver Grizzlies. In his first year with the Grizzlies he averaged 13.2 ppg, 6.5 apg, and 2.7 rpg, and earned all rookie honors. He improved his next two years, but the Grizzlies, who were going nowwhere decided to trade Bibby to the Kings on June 27, 2001.

Post Kings Career:
Bibby played for the Hawks from 2008 till 2011. In his first year he battled nagging injuries to his thumb, heel, and quad muscle. But he still managed to average 14 ppg, and 6.5 apg, and lead the Hawks to their first playoff berth in ten years. They lost in the first round, but pushed the eventual NBA champ that year, the Boston Celtics to seven games. The following year Bibby led the Hawks to their first playoff series victory since 1999. The Hawks rewarded Bibby with a three year 18 million dollare contract. On February 23rd, 2011, the Hawks traded Bibby to the Washington Wizards. After playing in only two games, Bibby agreed to a buyout. On March 2nd 2011, Bibby signed with the Miami Heat, and played in his first NBA championship finals, losing to the Dallas Mavericks 4 games to 2. On December 11th 2011, he signed a one year contract with the New Year Knicks. At seasons end, his contract expired, and to date, he hasn't signed with any other professional team. Nor has he officially retired.

Post NBA Career:
Since leaving the NBA, Bibby hasn't done much of note. He apparently took good care of his money, because his net worth is listed at around 60 million dollars. Bibby is married, and he and his wife Darcy have four children. In 2013 Bibby returned to his alma mater, Shadow Mountain highschool as an assistant coach. His son, Michael Jr. is the starting PG for the team. It seems to run in the family since his father Henry Bibby played for UCLA, and in the NBA, and was the coach of the USC basketball team. Bibby's brother in law is former King, Eddie House. One final note. Bibby won a gold medal while playing on the USA team in the FIBA world championships.

Christie was one of the final pieces added to a Kings team that would eventually battle the Los Angeles Lakers for the Western Conference Championship. And he ended up being a far more important piece than anyone realized at the time. In addition to being a good, but inconsistent shooter, he was an excellent passer and ballhandler. It wasn't unusual for Christie to lead the team in assists in some games. He was the equivalent of another point guard on the floor. But his most important contribution was on defense. Christie was a perennial addition to the NBA all defensive team. Christie may be best remembered for the well executed and on target uppercut delivered to the chin of Rick Fox in the early minutes of a game between the Kings and the lakers.

College and Pre Kings:
Christie attended and played for Pepperdine University's basketball team for three years. (1989-1992) His three year career averages were, 16.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.5 apg, and 1.9 spg. He was selected 17th overall in the 1992 NBA draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. However, due to contract difficulties, he never played a game for Seattle, who later in the season, traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers. In 1994, he was once again traded to the New York Knicks, where he got little playing time. In 1996 he was traded to the Toronto Raptors in mid-season where he played until 2000, when he was traded to the Sacramento Kings.

Post Kings Career:
Christie was unhappy with being traded to the Orlando Magic, and only played in a few games before being sidelined with bone spurs in his ankle that required surgery. Following ankle surgery, on August 11, 2005, he was released by the Magic using the new CBA amnesty clause. Shortly thereafter, Christie signed a one year contract with the Dallas Mavericks. On November 25th, due to the slow healing of his ankle, Christie was waived by the Mavericks. Christie attempted a comeback when he signed a 10 day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. In the middle of his second 10 day contract, he retired from basketball. Christie is married and he and his wife Jackie have two children, a son, Douglas, and a daughter Chantel.
