MJ did drive inside and post up a lot more than most shooting guards.

How can you say AK47 is overrated when he doesn't get much hype in the first place?

He gets a TON of hype.

Remember Pau Gasol. Yeah, me neither. There is another player that everyone and their cousin was kneeling in front of.

Andre is a good player, but they make him out to be a superstar. He isn't. PLUS - he's extremely ugly and that just can't be tolerated.

To me, a guy that CARRIES a team is a guy like Shaq. A guy like Duncan.

If we lost Bibby - we'll lose a step, but I think we'll still go to the playoffs.

If we lost Peja (and I think we will lose him at midseason) - we'll still make the playoffs.

It will be a tougher road, but the team doesn't DEPEND on those players.
We don't have Shaq or Duncan to carry our team, so we go to the best next thing that we do have, which IMO are Bibby and Peja. They are the Kings offense and without them we're going no where.

It will be interesting how much energy this team can pull from the crowd tonight. I also look forward to see how Mo does tonight, I sure wish we had him coming off our bench instead of K-mart, oh well

I don't think AK is a superstar but he is at least a 2nd team member in term of defense. I never liked Pau Gasol. He is another run of those mill soft Euro players. Because most European players are soft, that is why what AK does is refreshing to see.

First off - I completely disagree.

Bibby isn't near the caliber offensive player that Kings fans are trying to make him out to be. He's good - but he's not THAT good.

Second off - the teams best player isn't necessarily "carrying" the team. For instance, Kobe is FAR more talented than Shaq, but Shaq carried the Lakers. MJ was by far the best Bulls player, but without MJ, Pippen led the Bulls to the playoffs admirably. MJ didn't CARRY the Bulls. He contributed to winning.

We are a team that has SO much talent that we don't NEED any ONE player to "carry" us. It's going to be done AS A TEAM.

Yeah, most of the people here consider Bibby and Peja as bona fide first tier allstar players when they really are just 2nd tier star players. Bibby is an above average point guard who can make some clutch shots. However, his defense is very weak and he is not fast enough to break down opposing teams' defense consistently. Peja is a great outside shooter who can't rebound well or create shots on his own when the defenders play tight defense on him. Because of the aforementioned reason, they are no where nearly as great as what some Kings fans think they are.

I have always been known as a blind homer and my input is often shadowed by that.

I understand desire to criticise Mike and Peja but to me they are:
- longest tenured players on our team
- important part of our core
- Kings players

As a true Kings homer, I save criticizing any of our current players until they are gone. While they are on the current roster they have my full support and I'd rather use my energy supporting them than pointing out their flaws. That's just me anyway.

Go Kings!!

I'm not knocking them. I think they are very good players. I just disagree with the notion that as they go, so goes the team. I think this team has some supremely talented individuals and that trancends Bibby/Peja.

Doesn't mean much when it comes to saying that they "carry" the team.

- important part of our core
No one doubts or disputes this.

And yet we will go as far as those 2 carry us

I think they play hard tonight, and get the win. They gotta be feeling great and confident with that, along with the Suns win.

I won't be surprised if we lose though.

And I disagree. I guess that's all we can say.

I don't think Bibby is one of the top 2 players on our team. I think that Reef and Peja are the top 2 players. I think the glue is Miller.

I think Bibby should do his best to show up and not screw up. That's his job, in my opinion. We have enough shooters and scorers ... we don't need Bibby looking for his shot.

I just think that if you're going to have an honorary "award" for journeyman players who've torched the Kings, then by all rights, it should be named after the journeyman player who torched the Kings for the most points ever...

And, it was 53... :p
let's just hope that the number does not increase in near future
