Philly the Suns, and the Kings:

bajaden

Hall of Famer
I don't normally promote trade ideas, but my son called me with this one. I ran it through the trade checker and it works.

I have to admit that everybody gets something out of the deal. Philly gets the cap relief its looking for. The Suns get someone to play center and also get something back for Stoudemire. In my opinion, the Kings end up with the best deal, which means that the other teams won't go for it. But I'd do the deal in a heartbeat.

Sorry, I can't access the espn link from work. Could you by chance post the trade?

I do like AI's defense, but he is owed alot of money and he isn't a all star. with the lockout season and a rebuilding team I don't see it.

I'd possibly be down with this. Robin Lopez is a bit of a doofus, but I definitely like the idea of Reke and Iggy destroying teams together. Not sure if this is that much an upgrade considering we're loosing our biggest expiring in the deal.

To me the only downside is Iggys contract. Personally I think he's a better fit next to Tyreke than Martin is. He's able to take some of the ballhandling, and he's a terrific passer. There's no comparing the difference between him and Martin as far as defense goes, and he's turned himself into a pretty good midrange shooter. We also get a young defensive minded center. I grant you that he's not his brother, but he's not a dufus either. He would certainly be the Ying to Hawes Yang.

Reke and AI2 would be a sick backcourt for defending purposes alone, I have confidence that in 2 years Reke will be nailing 3's with ease so the lack of perimeter shooting wouldnt be a issue. Robin Lopez is a nice big def not as gifted as Brook but for legit 7 fter that can rebound, block and dunk hed be a great pickup.

Don't let the hair (and the quirky personality) fool you. The guy's a beast, and would be boon for this team as a defensive role playing big man. I'm actually curious what he could do offensively with a little work as well, because he was always showing flashes of a jumper and some post moves back at Stanford. Not as polished as his brother, mind you, but he's more skilled than lets on.

I like the idea of getting Robin Lopez.. He's no slouch and would give the team a decent defensive presence.

Martin and Dalembert would go to the Suns. The Kings would end up with Iggy and Robin Lopez. Philly would end up with Amare and K. Thomas.

Interesting proposal. We would have two potential lockdown outside defenders and a good inside shot blocker. We would need our other SG/SF and PF to be able to hit 3s in this scenario, but I am intrigued.

Cisco/Casspi/Donte...and even Hawes.

I also think the Reke can't shoot thing is very true...but not necessarily a permanent condition. Iggy probably is what he is, but Reke's 20.

Count me in. I have never given much thought about Lopez before. He would be a good fit. Tough. Good rebounder and defender. Iggy is a better fit than Kevin IMO. Creates a very disruptive back court. Iggy might not be a great 3 shooter, but we have other guys that are.
Can't imagining it happening though. It makes too much sense.

Seems like the Suns get robbed in this deal. I really doubt they want to get rid of Lopez for Dal and Martin. I think the kid has a higher upside than Dal.
