Petrie! Make NY find a 3rd team! how bout Philly?

Wow! If we can turn K9+KMart into...

Carl Landry+ a 1st round pick+ another good young piece+ ridding ourselves of NOC

i'd say Petrie would have just shamed anyone who ever doubted him... miracle!

If I were Petrie i'd call NY and say you want T-mac? then you go out and find that 3rd team that has what were looking for and while your at it give us your next 1st round pick while we're waiting....

MAKE SOMEONE TAKE NOC!

how about Sam Dalembert and A.I. ? wasnt that ever being considered... if i was Petrie i'd include JT or Hawes and T-mac for both those guys...

Ummmm According to RealGm T-mac was traded to the Kings because NY backed off getting him... I say we keep him and give him a chance.. And if we dont like him he has a expiring contract anyway
 
Give him a chance to do what? Take all the shots we just opened up by trading Martin? We do NOT need Tracy McGrady on the Kings. Carl Landry? Cool. McGrady? BARF!!!
 
everyone else at ESPN or any other site think NY ends up making it happen... so we should make them sweat it out
 
There is nothing left in T-mac. I don't care if we trade T-mac or let him sit. Petrie made one of the greatest move. If he trade T-mac+Noc for some expirings and draft picks, he's the God.
 
Ok well the rumor I read was that NY is offering the same deal that they were offering Houston. So if that happened this would approximately be our team:

C-Jason Thompson/Spencer Hawes
PF-Carl Landry/Jordan Hill/Sean May/John Brockman/Joey Dorsey
SF-Omri Casspi/Donte Green/Andres Nocioni/Jared Jeffries
SG-Francisco Garcia/Larry Hughes/Ime Udoka
PG-Tyreke Evans/Beno Udrih

That is an extremely young athletic lineup with a ton of potential. Plus a ton of capspace next year. I LOVE it.
 
How can anyone say T-mac is done when he hasent even got more than 7 mins of playing time this year??? Come on... You people on this message board are nuts... Trade him to NY for expiring contracts and first round picks??? NY wont be giving ANY first round picks for T-mac.. He is a 7 time all star... I mean come on people... Use your heads please for once

Gee, he hasn't even had 7 minutes of playing time but we need him on our team?

Use your head and look to the future. It's not about a fading star. It's about our young kids and their potential. I'd take a second round pick and bag of chips for Tracy McGrady.
 
just occurred to me that we should try the philly trade now...

wasnt that ever being considered... if i was Petrie i'd include JT or Hawes and T-mac for Sam D. and A.I.

if tmac wasnt done, he'd be able to get more than 7 minutes of playing time with the rockets. ny will trade a first round pick for him...they just want it protected. tmac was an allstar, he's going downhill. maybe you should use your eyes and see the present tmac instead of using your head and remembering what the tmac of the past used to be

Could work I suppose. Sammy D would give us a legit center defensively, AI2/Reke backcourt would be interesting but neither of them can shoot though, so AI2 might play the 3. I dunno.

i think you're on to something here. im not a big fan of what ny can give us, so if petrie can turn tmac's expiring into a legit center, im all for it. ill settle for a trade including dalembert
 
Personally I wouldn't trade with NY. Why the hell do we want to receive Jefferies contract? Also, Jordan Hill is a joke. I don't think trading with NY is good idea.
We should either trade T-mac+Noc for expirings+youth/picks or just let t-mac's contract expire and pick up a FA.

in theory were getting Jordan Hill to take Jeffries expiring contract(Hughes is just an expiring -- prolly by waived)

as previously mentioned -- Hill has extreme Bust potential and Jeffries brings nothing to the table for us, so it all would depend on the quality of the pics we receive
 
The problem with seeing if McGrady can still play is that it still gives us no value. He comes off the books after this season. Let's say he plays well and the Kings win a few more games (which actually hurts us in the long run). What are the chances that he re-signs with the Kings? Slim to none. Let's say he plays poorly. Well then there's another issue on hand when players are mad about losing more PT and T-Mac gets mad when we inevitably have to sit him out after letting him play.

T-Mac is a gamble with no reward. He's an expring which is great, but if we can move him that would be great given Sacramento's lackluster free-agent signing history.
 
The Kings should be leary of taking on Jared Jeffries inflated salary. He doesn't produce much and honestly he makes too much. As for Jordan Hill, he really isn't too impressive and apparently the Knicks think so too. Otherwise why would they be giving up on their first round pick before even one season is completed?

New/Tougher team baby!! We'll have to wait and see what the rest is involved in whatever McGrady deal, if it happens. Wishful thinking though...hell, I'm already ecstatic that we got Landry for Martin!
