It sounds to me that he would up for coming back, if the situation were right. It also sounds to me, reading between the lines, that Reggie wanted no part of him. Just my opinion.

Bajaden, what is it that led you to believe that Theus wanted nothing to do with Pete? I didn't get that from the article. Is it since Reggie never approached him? I mean honestly how would Reggie know to approach him? The guy retired. I wouldn't have thought to call him up either, becaue I knew he retired.

As I said, it was just my own personal read on it. I know he was retired, and still is. But apparently is willing to come out of retirement, if invited to do so. No one would know that better than Petrie, and If Petrie knew that, then I'm sure that Reggie would have been aware of it.

I'm probably reading too much into it. Its just that knowing Reggie's ego, and knowing the relationship between Petrie and Carril, he probably would have felt insecure having Coachie looking over his shoulder. Lets face it. The most experienced assistant coach he had was Natt, and he ignored him.

No way would he want to be a head coach again - he likes the assistant job working with players. Would love to see him come back on the bench.

I’ve been saying that we need to bring back Coachie and I really hope he does come back. We need him and his wisdom and I think he could help Jason, Spencer, Donte and even Bobby Brown out a lot.

I agree with Bajaden about Reggie not wanting him. It was pretty clear by the interview he gave to Grant and Mike about having the “old white guy” at the end of the bench.
