Seeing how most of the postgame talk is revolving around Peja's subpar effort, I want to gauge the true feelings of the Kings Fans. Peja for Artest was hotly debated before the brawl. Afterwards it seemed like a no-brainer. As of March '05 what do you think?

If you had the opportunity today only, would you trade Peja straight up for Ron Artest?

I would never ever make that trade, because unlike Artest Peja has class. I would like to think that this Sacramento Kings organization has a lot of class and picking up Artest would severely undermine that.

i would trade peja for artest in a heartbeat.

now im gonna sit back and wait for people to make comments like "well we sure are glad your not the Kings GM"

Honestly the idea intrigues me but I am a little reluctant because I know what Peja can do. This is not the same Peja that was in the running for MVP last season. His shots are just not falling, its not about shot selection or anything like that, they just aren't going. If the Peja that was here last season returns, which I expect it will at some point, I wouldn't trade him for anything.

I've mentioned before I'm not sure he exists. That guy last year was named Vlade Stojakovic. And half of him left -- the half with the leadership and desire.

I almost always agree with your basketball analysis and I am afraid that once again you are right, but I cannot help holding out hope that Peja gets it together and proves you wrong.

Maybe if Artest didn't act like such a child, then I would probably choose yes.. but look at how many suspensions and fines this kid has gotten the past few years.. so I wouldn't make that trade.

i would.... or i'd do a mobley for artest trade.... works both ways straight up, but i doubt that indy would do it... maybe if we threw in evans for someone to sweeten the deal....

You are kidding aren't you??????

Artest is twice the player Mobley is. Larry Bird would laugh at that offer so hard that he would need to be tested for dope.

No, if for no other reason than the fact that Peja at least has earned the respect of defenses, so he opens up the floor to really a four on four game for the Kings on the offensive end. And, since he doesn't need the ball in his hands to score, if the rest of the Kings just don't pass to him, it doesn't really disrupt the flow of the offense all that much.

I would take a shot at Artest and Bender. I think that would give us a great defender at the 3 and a guy with tremendous talent who could develop into a Lamar Odom type player. I know Adelman doesn't like young guys, but he DOES tend to like and develop retred guys who have talent and been in the league a while like Bender.

Sorry to disappoint You but it is not a "take two" - more like "take twenty two"

Should have opened it last night where many of us were in a great mood. We had enough talent to "kidnap" the thread and get it to a point where becomes totaly irrelevant - kinda like now

Well I would trade him, because Pedja still wants to leave Sac,,You have to see it in the way he plays, no heart..I know 90% of you here will disagree but thats okay. All the small forwards in the NBA know they can abuse Pedja offensively because he not good on the D without help.Again I think after Pedja's contract is up he will be moving on...

I am ticked off at Peja.....yep, really upset with him. He is just not bringing it. Maybe he should be seeing a shrink, because we know it is all in his head. We know he has a lot more talent than he has showed this year. He said that he would "honor his contract" by playing for the team that is paying him. Well, how about giving your effort there, Peja? What you are doing just isn't getting it done.....no way.....no how.

Now, having said all that. I would not trade Peja for Artest ever. I am beginning to think that they are both head cases, but the violence exhibited by Artest is criminal. I'll take a wuss over the criminally insane any day. ;)

Absolutely not! While Peja has his faults, Ron Artest is a meltdown waiting to happen. The potential consequences for the franchise are scary. I wouldn't touch Artest with a 10 foot pole.
